Kanan and Hera’s relationship is the best part of this show. I love the mom and dad vibe they have. You don’t much get to see the mother/father dynamic in the Star Wars universe which is a shame. Sad to see this show ending for just that part alone.
Also helps is Hera always refer to Kanan as Love, Dear, and Kanan refers to the other members as “the kids”(probably because Sabine and Ezra actually are kids and I dunno how old Zeb is but I doubt he’s a child in Lasot or human years).
I've got to admit, Rebels was a hilarious show. Similar in tone to the original star wars trilogy. The humor and campy scenes are what made the original star wars great, and when combined with emotional moments and character development, you have the recipe for a great show. Rebels was far from perfect, and some of the plot decisions were bizarre, but it's still a decent show that's worth watching.

I dunno ... I'd say Zeb's more like that irresponsible uncle who takes the kids out on their reckless runs and gets as many lectures as the kids. Or maybe I just can't wrap my mind around the idea of Zen as Kanan's adopted son.

This show has aged like fine wine thanks to elements of it showing up in things like *_Obi-Wan Kenobi_* (despite how shitty that show is), and *_The Mandalorian_* universe.
There's a lower issue with this. The TIE fighter that they are flying is the kind that has terrible life support systems. The pilot would have to wear a special suit to be able to survive while flying the TIE fighter in space. Unless they never left the planet's atmosphere.
Empire's property, so fuckin' attract attention. & then, very little useful shit in it. no shield, no hyperdrive, & maybe even very poor air-conditioning. pretty much a flying piece of junk that's somehow very good in landing you in trouble.
I know your comments are 3 months old, but generaly speaking TIEs have very good guns and are both faster and more manouverable than, say an X-Wing. A-Wing is the only rebel ship that can outmanouver it. But that's why there're TIE Interceptors and TIE Defenders :)
Actually TIEs equal X-Wings in speed and the X-Wings more than compensate for the manuverability difference with better ordinance, armor, shields, and endurance. A-Wings can out run any short of a TIE Advanced or Defender, and have some of the best fighter scale sensors out there. Y-Wings and B-Wings just provide ungodly durability and firepower. TIEs were built as cheap as possible to fulfill fighter op roles made secondary under the Tarkin Doctrine.
Probably to do with the lack of life support and most of the control being remotely done from a control ship via a cheap droid brain built into the Vulture. And lets not forget that the TIE/LN was just over a 1/3 of the price of a T-65 X-Wing which ran at just about 150,000 credits or less than half the value of a Y-Wing (134,000 credits)
...This is the kind of writing I expect from, say Ben 10. (Not a diss on that show, but it's its own THING) This is STAR WARS. At least PRETEND to treat your audience like they're mature enough that they don't need this Y-7 pandering material.
