Dont use transmissions with more gears, shifting slows you down a LOT in this game, i always tune drag cars down to a 5 speed on a 6 speed race trans unless i can get away with a 4 speed
Depends on the application i guess. I like 7 speeds.(6 speed w OD) 6 gears tuned to keep the engine at PEAK horsepower and boost. And a 7th to rip to top speed if needed If I had time to reach 7th, and not just stand on 6th. Then I should have plenty of space to floor it
@@007zzzz yeah but in this case you have the freedom of a video game. if a purpose built drag car has infinite fuel, infinite engine durability and tires that don't blow up at high speeds, it would easily beat a road legal hypercar in topspeed. unless if the dragster has a soft limitter which it absolutely does in this game.

You can tune it with 4 gears and also gets you more acc than 5/6 gears

Pro stock cars are optimised for drag races, so they only need to go for 1/2 a mile at most

Yea, Dragsters aren’t tuned for top speed even tho they blow numbers out the water. Only Top Fuel has beat that
