20 years later and still one of the most disturbing episodes of TV I've ever seen. My jaw hit the floor when the twist was revealed! The fact that the little girl was the child of father/daughter incest creeps me out to this day.
I have seen this episode recently. Maybe I'm nuts, but this episode is the best episode of the 1st season. But, as I saw a father, being a rapist, pedophile and incestuous monster being killed by the boyfriend of a traumatised daughter, I realised that it may be terrible, but I liked the topic and how it was made. Personally, the more cruel, terrific, and traumatising the episode is, the more this series proves that it's a masterpiece
As a kid this episode would haunt me all the time. Watching it now as a mother I can’t believe the dead mom wouldn’t protect her daughter and the way the teenager girl says “but when he went after my daughter!” my stomach turns. The pain you hear in her voice. :(
Pain, without love, pain, can't get enough. That's a part of a Three Days Grace chorus from the song called "Pain." That's me. Although the episode shows a horrible action in a broken family, with a dad being incestuous, pedophile and rapist, and all the family being killed at the order of the poor girl by her boyfriend, and the way that her daughter, whose father is the father of the mother (a satanic thing), I pretty liked it. The more terrific the episode was, the better CSI became after and after episodes.
What a disturbing episode. Dakota Fanning's portrayal of Brenda just breaks your heart. The scene at 1:55 with Sara and Gil is one of my favorite scenes from the entire series.
Girl's little sister was actually her daughter by her own father-now even if you're not a fan of this show, you've got to admit that is one seriously sick and disturbing twist!
Adam Watson Sicker than sick i think. Sick dad who sexually abuses his own biological daughter which gets his daughter pregnant , a daughter and a granddaughter. Well a dad like that deserves a kill though
True, because if you're a dad with a daughter you love her (normal love), care for her, support her, and be there for her. I also believe it is very wrong to love her for her private parts and have the desire to sexually harass her and get her pregnant!! 😣 😞

The rest of the family hid the abuse and then the daughter had enough when her father started sexually abusing the younger daughter...
I went to school with a girl who got pregnant by her own drunkenfather - we were 12yrs old and I just knew there was something wrong with that poor child - she spoke to nobody and was like a ghost in the background - her mother was dead and her life must have been a nightmare
I feel so sorry for the teen at the end she was failed by so many people like how do you not notice that a 13 year old is getting a baby bump? And then how do you not question it especially if she's not dating someone xxx
Unbelievable. The crimes of the father, and indifference of the rest of the family, perhaps they shouldn't have deserved to live. As for Ecklie and the Sheriff of this season, they can give you a massive migraine.

The worst part is, if she had just told the police what the father was doing before hand he would have been arrested on the spot and then neither she nor the guy she dragged into this crisis would have been arrested.
A lot of kids do tell someone. The abusive parent just smiles "ohh she's always lied and acted up!" Or if the parent has connections they get it sweep under the rug.
When I watch this episodes it comes to my mind why now I love L&O:SVU like I loved CSI: the fact that they didn't show what would have happened to Tina (the mother/half-sister) makes me so angry. I really want to know what happened to her. Sure, she killed her brothers as well, but I cannot believe that they would have just send her in prison for life (or to the death row); what her parents did to her was an abomination.

I know what Grissom said and all that but if it was a real situation and not for TV they would have as much light as possible but because it's a TV show the reason they don't is because the way the light form the flashlight shines it looks cool so that's why on CSI they leave the lights off 🙂

It’s quite likely that Tina was acquitted because her attorney was able to prove diminished capacity.

Grissom told them not to turn the lights on because he wanted everything left just the way it was before the police arrived.
I know what Grissom said and all that but if it was a real situation and not for TV they would have as much light as possible but because it's a TV show the reason they don't is because the way the light form the flashlight shines it looks cool so that's why on CSI they leave the lights off 🙂
