It was more fun than I thought it would be to see my own neighborhood on RUclips when at 39.25 it starts walking through North Berkeley. (If you'd just turned left at 41:43 ...) Even though this video is only six months old, it's already of historic interest because of the rate at which they're closing businesses, tearing down old buildings and putting up high rises in downtown Berkeley. For instance they've since torn down the whole square block containing the Hotel Shattuck, a move theater and various storefront business seen on the left at 35.47. Around twenty such buildings have gone up in the last few years, like the three at 21:46. Too bad there isn't a video like this from fifty years ago or better yet a time machine.
What a boring tour! Just straight ahead no looking down side streets or looking at street signs and what is it with looking at only one block of shattuck ave! 💁🏽 total tunnel vision 🤦🏽♂️
