  • Still attempting to track down a ticking sound on the Jeep Gladiator. 2020 Mojave with 46k miles. The sound seems to originate around the transfer case and is felt within the cab at low speed.
The feedback I have received is that it may be.
    • Drive Shaft Bolts to TC output - Verified, nothing loose.
    • Drive Shaft Nut holding Flange to TC - Not verified (Maybe)
    • 4L and 4H verify noise - Verified - Tried 4H, no change in noise.
    • Pinion Bearing - Placed camera on rear axle near pinion area (Maybe)
    • Rear coil Spring Towers - Placed camera in area and recorded video
Although the Gladiator features Johnny joints and other modifications, it has been quiet until now. If I have a noise, I can usually track it down and address it.
In this video, I have attached a GoPro in various areas. Viewing the rear coil springs, rear drive shaft to transfer case, front driver side suspension, engaging 4h, and mounting the camera on the rear axle viewing the driveshaft.
