I don't recommend such treks in Chitawan or Bardia National Park. I consider it a risky venture. Apart from tigers, there is more life-threatening risk from wild elephants. The Asian wild elephants are highly unpredictable and could charge without any warning . The tiger population has gone up in recent years, and a jungle safari on a vehicle or on a domesticated elephant would be much safer as well as enjoyable. You could also cover a large area and would have an opportunity to see many other wildlife species. Just my opinion.
