I had the 288GTO pre-ordered at the time. I anticipated that model so much that I was a bit disappointed when it arrived (kinda the same things you pointed out). But I'm glad to have it in my collection, it's an iconic car! (didn't think it would be so hard to find at a reasonable price).
Considering that the 288 from the KK scale cost me $ 40, and this one is very difficult to find and costs from $ 500 and the amalgam in my country is about $ 1200, then the KK scale is a chic model that looks great on the shelf.
Congratulations, mate! Such a gorgeous car, I just modded my HW recently. I know you must be stoked beyond belief with this beautifully proportioned BBR. Who cares that it doesn't open. It's so plush!
Congrats on the new addition! Glad you were able to acquire one and interesting backstory on how it came to be. I liked your humorous metaphor of how it’s rarer than a hen’s teeth. 😄 Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see more new models.
nice review Rob. look forward to your tutorial on how to affix glass panels without mucking things up and getting glue residue everywhere. ive got a similar issue with my kyosho f40 but havent touched it because im too scared to make it worse. i actually remember someone on one of the forums saying that resin cars have a general issue with glass panels popping out due to flex in the resin material but i couldnt find much verification of the claim anywhere else. does that sound about right Rob or just a myth?
I get a silver one of this model limited to 100 pieces. But it comes with a display glass. Do you think it is the seller add it on or it is the way comes out of BBR, do you know there’s any other color of this model made?
I think the display is just optional. They are available separately as well, and they just fit within the box of models that don't have a transparent display. At least, that's my experience from my preferred BBR supplier.
Hi Dedu, this is a sealed resin model nothing opens up, most of BBR models are sealed but they have got some diecast models, MR Collection model are all sealed resin 👍
@@CarsWithHNK i collect only Ferrari and only diecast. Mainly i have bburago, misto, giodi, joef evolution and hot wheels. Which do you tink is the best for diecast Ferrari models? Cheers!
@@tedyshor I think hot wheels is the best option especially their elite and superelite models are very good and highly detailed, please check out my collection ruclips.net/video/hhmQXfWAH0c/видео.html and channel thanks
I did not know BBR makes older cars, I thought they just made the modern day super cars. And being a sealed model it kind of looks like the engine is detailed, I am surprised by that.

I do care that it doesn't open.
Hi Rob, great video and model I really want to add one of these to my collection they are quite rare now especially in red 👍

Beautiful model and great review! Quite a shame about the windshield though.
Perty model.

Awesome car.Great review as usual.I have seen an Amalgam one on Ebay asking over 1500 dollars(very expensive).
Yes, the eBay ones are super expensive. That's why they are still available I guess
@@ROBSMODELCARS I agree.I also notice that cars from Japan are also very expensive.😊👍
It's beautiful model. This is my favorite ferrari. Nice video Rob 👌🙂
finaly after all these years - a propper 288 in 1/18 :D .... and the open vents are a nice touch too !
Proper with no openings how lol

So, on these expensive models, the doors and hoods do not ooen at all? They are just for display, you cannot "play" with their features??
