This was super helpful. Thanks. I had a wreck on my motorcyxle and some of my plastics got completely broken apart. As in separated. I have one of those plasric welder kits that heats up the little wavey staples and melts them into the plastic. Now that Ive watched your video, I wonder if it would be helpful to melt a couple of those staples in....and then paint the adhesive over the entire area ...which would then bury the staples completely. Or do you think the abs adhesive isbstrong enough?
@@HeikosGarage I found some ABS bars...you think it would work to use that abs cement and "glue" the bars over the crack as a structural support? Also....which exact Oatey ABS cement did you use?
What I use is the simplest and fasted method.. tape together on the outside, and from the inside use superglue and then cover with bi carb soda, it cures fast and is rock hard. There are a lot of video's showing this super glue and bi carb trick This super glue method is fast and nasty. The part is then harder at the crack and is stronger than the rest of the plastic. Don't take my word for it, here is some one else's. ruclips.net/video/2tHhW1XOm2U/видео.html ruclips.net/video/U2bitV4rl8I/видео.html

I have not tried those staples but I would probably combine those two methodes.

@@JaydubyaX I would give it a try. Do a test with the bars and the ABS cement and see if it works.
