We ordered Level F this evening for our daughter to use next school year. She is so excited! She has already read a couple of the books but we loved them so much we all agreed we wouldn’t mind reading them again.
That's so exciting!! We have been loving Level F. My oldest has even started reading ahead on his readers because he is tired of "waiting for us" (as he says). :) Keep me posted on how y'all are liking it.
Oh no, Sarah! We're so sorry to see that your package arrived in such a state! It does look like your books were put in a completely different box than the one that was sent out to you. Customer Service has reached out to you directly to discuss the damaged books and fix this situation for you. 💙
Thank you so much for reaching out right away. Like I mention in my video, BookShark’s customer service team is amazing and this just further cements that! The box issue was 100% not BookShark’s fault and yet y’all are still reaching out to make it right. Thank you for that!
Im trying to decide between D+E or F for my 6th grader for next year. I feel like there are barely any videos of Level F on youtube, so im excited to find this video! I hope you will do some follow up videos on how you and your kiddo are liking F. Thanks for the video!
I sure will!! I agree there aren’t a ton of videos for the upper levels. We loved doing D/E. American history was fascinating and we did that for my son’s 6th grade year. I’ll keep you posted on how we like level F 😁
@@nmchileco6888 I'm so glad you are loving Level F and that it is working great for your 5th grader. We are a month into it and are also loving it so far. I love that you can use the BookShark levels for a variety of ages and it works great for all of them!!
We are using A, D, and F this year. We love it!! Taking a break this coming school year though. It’s a lot of work doing all three levels separately! We’ll be back to B and E. I don’t know what we’ll choose for my son’s 10th grade though. I’m confused about which level to use for his last 3 years.
We stopped reading The Land I Lost. It was too violent for us. Now mind you, my 13 yo plays Mortal Combat. He had issues with people being violent with the dogs. We didn’t get to the part where a toddler was murdered. After the animal torture (as we refer to it) I researched the book and decided to drop it. We loved The Master Puppeteer, both Grace Lin books, Homesick and I Rode A Horse of Milk White Jade. I dropped Ghandi. I wasn’t comfortable with 13/14 year olds “cuddling together” resulting in pregnancy. We watched the movie instead. We all loved the movie. We couldn’t watch it in one sitting though. For the readers, he liked Henry Reed, Inc. We are on week 21.
Great thoughts! I really appreciate the notes section in the instructor’s guides to let me know when sensitive topics may be in the books. I have a huge animal lover so it’s good to have a heads up about The Land I Lost. Thanks for your comments!!
