Alt. Title: Version 1.9 EP
Production: BluePoch
I love how the theme for Echoes in the Mountain (and also the collection theme in the roguelike mode) is basically just the Vereinsamt theme but more chill and happier.
4:13 "This is just a song of a bunch of characters who have lived through a lot more than one should in a single lifetime."
Yep. This is probably how to best describe this song and this chapter 🥲
"A story of a day, that feels like a life time"
I got a few Reverse: 1999 OST and EP Suggestions for you! Posting the actual titles here for easier searching:
*-Version 1.8 Special EP - "Polar Night" | Reverse: 1999*
_This song is from the previous Patch, "Farewell, Rayashki". It features Russian Post Punk and Russian Lyrics and is just a vibe_
*-"Bewildered Heart" | Reverse: 1999 1.6 OST | Notes on Shuori | Final Boss Music*
_It doesn't have lyrics, but it's such a FREAKIN' BANGER!_
*-Spathodea EP - "Journey to Uluru Games" | Reverse: 1999*
_This belongs in the same patch as the funky "Go Together!" EP for Version 1.5. Very cute song about Spathodea's experiences during the revival of the Uluru Games!_
*-Isolde EP - "The Doors" | Reverse: 1999*
_This belongs in the same patch as "Salvation", which means this too will have some Opera themes. It is a character-centric song and I def want to know what you'll get out of this_
*-Version 1.8 EP - "Farewell, Rayashki" | Reverse: 1999*
_From the same patch as Polar Night, this is the main theme of Version 1.8. A very somber, nostalgic melody._
Another great video and analysis!
Definitely a favorite of mine from the game. For context, it’s the main theme of Chapter 7 which bears the same name. The name, “Vereinsamt”, comes from a poem by Friedrich Nietzsche, and as you surmised, it means Lonely.
The specific part of the poem referenced and translated by the game goes like this:
The world is a door,
To a thousand ruins, desolate and cold.
For those who have lost,
What you have lost are long in the void.
EDIT: There is a different version of this song by the name of ”Fire Thieves”, referencing Prometheus, that you might enjoy in your own time!
Oh does my username still show up as Hessian? Anyway I'd recommend watching the Hymnus Ad Bacchum animation for context of this haunting track 😅
If you haven’t yet you should check out The Doors from reverse 1999!
They released a new Canto for Limbus Company and there is a boss theme I want you to take a look at. It is Canto VII Boss Battle 1
Yay reverse 1999
