  • With this 6 cylinder 3000 engine MGC (1969) driving over the Healy Pass Co. Kerry, Ireland. Video made by Boris van Wijk, World Travel Fish (www.worldtravelfish.com )
The MGC looks simular to the MGB but is underneath a totally different car. A different suspension and ofcourse a different engine (MGB 1800 4 cylinders) are the biggest differences. To get the mighty 6 cylinders under de MGC bonnet, the bonnet has a slightly different shape and also the wheels of a MCC are bigger. Commercuially the MGC was not a succes. Only about 4500 roadsters and 4500 GT's were built. The MGB was way more succesful with several 100.000 's .
