I’m glad I’m on the only one who enjoys the ds versions of these games more. They felt like they had more love and charm put into them tbh. It would be awesome if someone tried making a fan project involving these games.
So, as someone who (kinda) knows the ins and out of this game, allow me to -pretentiously- give some advice for the bosses Spongebot - This one is fairly simple, the bubbles will split upon touching those water walls. To shut them off you have to shoot these water valves on the left and right sides of the area. Dannybot - Again, fairly simple. Best way to fight him is to get him in a loop. Whenever he does a spin attack, make sure he isn’t near any blocks for some free damage and just avoid his only ranged attack. Takbot - This is where it gets slightly tricky. In order to even deal damage to the damned thing, you have to hit those three roulette wheels and make sure you get the hearts. The poles will turn and this is where you have to hit those targets. When you hit em, then’s the time to start hitting takbot. Be careful though, his attacks can be hard to dodge. Timmybot - This one is arguably as easy as Spongebot, you simply have to shoot those hammers when Timmy is in front of them. Just be careful they don’t literally pound you. Jimmybot - I see a lot of people struggle with this one, and this fight can be easy IF you focus on disabling those laser turrets. Each of those turrets will only fire when they have a… ball in them. You will know when a turret is active if you see it with a ball. To disable it, you have to shoot it. Make sure that the Jimmybot does not get any opportunity to use those turrets to its advantage by always keeping them empty. Professor Calamitous - Uh… well. Ok, there’s no real strategy, you simply have to be able to dodge and shoot. And for the love of good, make sure you don’t run into those laser beams
For me, Spongebot was with no-doubt the easiest boss fight. Dannybot was the second easiest boss fight. Timmybot was the third easiest boss fight 1st phase Professor Calamitous was a little difficult but pretty easy. Takbot actually made me try a bit but still pushed through. 2nd Phase Professor Calamitous made me sweat a lot ngl 😂. Jimmybot… All I gotta say is that I locked in.
