Afternoon Leon I had my 1.8t Audi done last year and it made a big difference on acceleration , this might prove to the it does fuck all gang that it does Cheers Phil
The Disgruntled Mechanic yes mate definitely handy as this one is in an awkward place and as you know you can always break and damage parts when taking it off
Hi, great video. Thanks for sharing. I have a Ford S Max which about a month ago when the turbo was about to kick in shuddered and the engine malfunction light came on. AA came out and got the same diagnosis, turbo pressure system. He cleaned the pressure sensor and reset the code and it has been good for 3 months. Then yesterday doing exactly the same thing, changing into 6th it instantly came on again. This morning the light has gone. I was told these diesels need a good run every now and then to clean the particulate filter. Is that what this issue could be? Cheers for the great videos
Hi mate unfortunately she's going to have to be diagnosed properly as for me to try and guess what's wrong with it was going to be impossible and I don't want to lead you down the wrong path it could just be a case of needed cleaning DPF regeneration thing along them lines or it could be something else
Hi there, I've got a my2010 Ford 2.0 Tdci which is display similar problems. I noticed a distinct lack of power, almost like an old pre-turbo diesel. It still gets up to speed and is running fine, ticking over nice and no extreme turbo noise. The engine light has now come on and the error code it P2263.....
Hi mate you will have to go through the same process I did in the video check your live data and see what your turbo is doing see what it's actually boosting at
And obviously you might not have a carbon cleaning machine but you can still go through the same processed disconnecting the actuator see if it's stuck check your powers and grounds to the actuator the normal stuff
Hi i have a 1.8tdci 2008 focus and its bringing up the same code and when driving its really hesitating as if its going to die out so have to accelerate hard would u have any idea what it would be? Also when flooring it black smoke comes out
Not sure if you will remember but did it have engine malfunction coming up? I get same code, but always engine malfunction even when cleared code and without engine light on...
I have a 2010 Ford mondeo 1.6 high mileage but all motorway miles well looked after was bought from my dad who's a texi driver and I can't take it over 2000 rpm because it goes into limp mode any ideas on what it could be would be great
Hi mate it will be impossible to say you have to pull some codes and see exactly what's going on get a good scan tool and get the code that every module
@@bodgitandleggitgarage right...done that...camshaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, fuel rail sensor faults...all 3 sensors have been replaced last year...will have to measure them with an oscilator snap-on although it will be weird for all them 3 to die after a year...I reckon is something else...maybe injectors need re-coding ..don't know
D C the car went into limp mode you kept driving it with your foot planted on the ground you will do more damage soot up everything do damage to DPF EGR possibly turbo the list goes on
bodgit and leggit garage sorry meant in general not as a means of fixing a fault, usually find it's the supermarket diesel never up to temperature driven like a snail ones are by far the worst.
D C no need to apologise mate I was just saying the possible damage you could do if you did that yes bad fuel is a factor or so bad service in the wrong oil etc or plays a part in this also not driving the car correctly or long enough all these bits together causes these types of problems
bodgit and leggit garage The one I'll never forget 1.6 hdi 307 bought 2nd hand at 20k 2 year old never serviced from that point on and they were actually surprised when the engine destroyed itself 45k and 4 years later lol
When you say you are not happy 100% do you mean the mondeo went again into limp mode at the end of the 2nd drive test???when the ESP came on...does that mean car will still go into limp mode from time to time...??that is what is happening to my mondeo though.Cheers for the video...the more I watch and the more I read, nobody can fix a situation like that when the car loses power and goes limp or stops
Hi mate like I explained in the video I wasn't 100% happy with the movement of the actuator but like I also said it was getting better and better every time the car is driven the car did not go back into limp mode and has not come back to me since the car is fixed 100% of course these issues can be fixed you can't just throw away a car because it loses power there is always a problem or a failure somewhere that has to be diagnosed and fixed they can be 101 reasons why this happens but I have never known anyone that's thrown a car just because it's lost power I'm not sure where you are reading this but I would not trust it at all
@@bodgitandleggitgarage Went back to the garage and replaced timing again...after 35k miles...short distances no limp or cut out...I intend to take it for a longer trip to see how she will react.Cheers!
@@bodgitandleggitgarage Well...it happened again and, unlike tens of post when people replace one by one everything they are being told by theyr mechanics without sorting anything out,I am going to replace fuel filter, bleed the pipe and that is it...raise money for another car which will be porbably japanese. Thanks alot for taking your time to answer my posts. All the best!
@@catalinbarbu5946 I could have a split on the intercooler pipe exiting egr valve or injector but try blanking off ur egr valve u can buy blanking plate on ebay for 10 euro
Daniel phipps hi mate it all depends on the situation a P2263 can also be down to an EGR valve which can also cause lots of black smoke if you've got no fault codes it could be a hundred and one things too difficult to say you would need the car tested
Daniel, black smoke usually is because/indicates over fuelling....it's a sign of unburnt diesel that is passing through the system. Also, a couple of things. Depending on what car and what generation you may need to recode your injectors if newer....on an older system the ECU will have to learn that the new injector has been installed. This may take a little time to 'sort itself' but not for ever. If you've only driven the car once or twice for a very short time it may still have to relearn the parameters for all the injectors again. Had this on my Freelander TD4.
Before 15 year's i had hydrogen generator in vehicle, connected all the time. Engine was white inside, happy and clean, even consumption of diesel is much better. Every engine should have it all the time, otherwise diesel are struggling with agr, dpf, turbo and so on. Now some of you are using so called carbon cleaner, which is actually hydrogen generator.
I used couple of cans of Normfest DC980 intake cleaner on mine 1.8 sprayed into turbo but also directly to manifold. It eats through carbon nicely.

Phil Long I'm glad it worked for you mate
It's a good thing when a machine works as advertised. Nice work.
wyattoneable yes mate but unfortunately people advertise this doesn't more than what it actually does
I need to get one of those carbon cleaners... 😋
Thank you for sharing Leon!
LM Auto Repairs yes mate it's only make your life easier know parts needed to be removed sorted lol
It is great that you can clean it without ripping it apart. good job Leon.

Extremely interesting to watch this shows these machines do work for some cases
Colin Howard yes mate
What have you done with bottle of water? it is not clear for me how you cleaned the carbon..?
How can you clean the exhaust side of a turbo by adding carbon cleaner into the clean side or air compressor side

the engine malfunction light will come on with most codes in these cars that doesn't mean it's the same problem
Isnt it the exhaust side that usually gets stuck?

what carbon cleaner system are you using?

Something happened for the better, that's a good thing.
lol thanks mate
Spot on mate. Sorted!!

i have this code coming on after a new turbo only after 100miles or so switch off engine and it goes away then back again after another long drive.
Hi mate you're gonna have to get it checked it could be loads of things wiring EGR valves pressure sensors vacuum leaks the list goes on and on
Thank you for another Great video!!!
thanks mate
hmm this and the transit had only a km/h speedo, wonder why that is, my 2013 ford has the dual marked speedo , why is this so?
It is because this is an Irish car and when I Ireland changed over to kilometres all the cars read kilometres from thereon in
ahh thanks im in England and we still have to please the old measures!
Great vid Leon 👍

Disconnect the EGR valve and try that too!! If black smoke reduces or goes away, then EGR has a fault!!
Ill give it a go it all stated when i put a 2nd injectors in
