They might associate only with children, fun, toys and not the full capacity of the person behind the wheel. I might imagine it to be hard to control and limited relative to my body, so I may reflect that in constrained social interactions...in the way you simplify it for children or if you're worried about sensitivity. There's no real danger or concern either, so perhaps that is why we see the softer side of people more easily, again like with children or small fluffy things.
