Had one just like it except gold color. Sold it to some dude in Germany a few years back. I’m loving that 98 you just got in too ! Decisions decisions ....
The 472 engine was introduced by Cadillac in 1968 to combat Lincoln's successful 460 and 462 engines. The 472 was discontinued in 1974. The 500 engine was introduced in 1970 and was exclusive to the Eldorado until 1975. In 1975 and 76 the 500 engine was used in both the Eldorado and DeVille. In 1977 the 500 was discontinued and replaced by the 425 engine. The 1970 Cadillac in this video is wearing 1968 DeVille hub caps. It has a 1969 back seat. The hood ornament with wreath is incorrect for the 70 deville. The Cadillac crest emblems on the front of the fenders are missing. The 1969 and 70 DeVille interior and body panels were interchangeable excluding the rear bumper and tail lights.
The guy who bought it is extremely happy. Although this came as is, we do this all the time. We pick or buy the cleanest hubcaps we can find to finish the clean look of the car. Not trying to win any concourse trophies here. Good eye though.
A friend and co worker of mine might buy this car. I hope he does. It is soo off the hook perfect in every way. Drop top, white over red, monster 472 ci motor. I call shotgun!
Looks like a 69. The front lights on 69's go all around the 70 didnt...I had one in 76. 472 engine convertible coupe de ville. Was a gas guzzler lol.. black paint white convertible top red leather interior ..
Same car as boss Hogg drove in Dukes of Hazzard
Beautiful car!
How much?

472 or 500 for that year, that's it.. No Caddy 462, that's a Lincoln engine size
Right, the 500ci didn't come out until mid 70's. It's a 472ci.

Sonny - Bronx Tales
Boss Hogg - Dukes of Hazzard!
Bronx tale was a 68
Hermoso automóvil, la combinación de colores exterior e interior es excelente.
not so fast Hernando this car has 1966 1965 hub caps mixed with the original 1970, not a brilliant move
wrong back seats and hub caps, the rest of caddy is good.
Yes but, the layman person would never notice, was a great car and the buyer is extremely happy.
How much? Arm & leg
