To say Sticker was controversial, is an understatement. There were a lot of people who didn't just dislike it... they loathed it with their entire beings and were not satisfied with just hating it, they went on campaigns to get other people to hate it. Any reactor who said they liked, were immediately attacked and accused of lying and faking their reaction. It was wild. But the joke was on them, because it went on to be their biggest hit... earning them 10 music show wins, was also the first music show all-kill by a boy group since 2017, plus the album sold 2.5 million units making it the second highest earner that year and won them their first daesang (grand prize).
Love the Sticker appreciation, especially when so many people are quick to hate on it. It's one of those songs that takes several listens to really appreciate and understand, and a lot of people don't have the patience or desire to give it a chance and instead hate on it. I understand if a song doesn't fit your personal tastes, but people need to realize how objectively, Sticker is amazingly produced and perfectly fits NCT's experimental neo concept. Although it may not be one of my favorite 127 songs, I think it's an absolutely essential part of their discography and it shows just how strong they are as a group, as not anyone could pull off a song or concept like this. I also agree that the music video is one of their best. I love how you analyzed it because there are so many details that I missed, even though I've watched it so many times. The futuristic space cowboy concept (if that's even an accurate description) is so incredibly unique, and not enough people talk about or praise it

wow!...i love this revisit of my fav NCT unit...Sticker is a great album...the boys won a daesang with this album... i think jungwoo looks phenomenal with his white blond hair...it is one of his best looks...but it was not a wig and he did suffer a bit cos his soft soft hair hv yet to recover from it... i cried too wen i first heard magic carpet ride...its so lovely...especially doyoung taeil and haechan voices. i think that voice u were asking for belongs to yuta.
The storyline concept for NCT is dreaming/dreams/dream-walking... a phrase they've used throughout the years is "The Synchronization of Dreams", which fans theorize is along the lines of the movie Inception where they're able to enter one another's dreams or dream-walk. The lyrics in a lot of NCT songs refer to dreams/dreaming and the members are often depicted sleeping or waking. For Sticker, the concept is that they're students at NCIT (Neo Culture Institute of Technology) by day and hackers by night... something happened and they were sucked into a shooter type video game with an old school Vegas/cowboy/rodeo type theme. lol OR more likely they were just dreaming all of this. I recommend checking out the trailer "Who Is Sticker?"

I always look forward to NCT's track videos. They really do spoil us (especially with NeoZone album) and it gives such a good intro to the b-sides which could easily be ignored by casual listeners. But the b-sides are nearly always my favs and the ones that hit me the hardest.
