Thank you so very much for sharing this stand up comedy resource. This is absolutely fantastic, and really helps me change my perspective on stand up comedy. I truly appreciate your help and thank you for improving the audio quality!! *It's funny at first I thought, it's really long, after listening to it for an hour, I wish it went on way longer. 💯🌠💯
@@brotherchason Do it! It went okay. The most exciting thing was once I got on stage and had the mic in my hand, I felt like I belonged there. It felt natural. I was nervous still of course, but it confirmed for me that this is the career I want to pursue. I'll be doing this the rest of my life no matter how much or how little success I have.
Okay just actually finished it and DAMN! Ari is not holding back and he is saying things that are true and could hurt the feelings of great people but it shows that he is seriously trying to help these comedians
I love this video, I learn so much, thank you. The one big lesson is it's all about who you know and getting into the right crowd, being funny is important but who you know might be more important.
I love these talks. I’m a musician but I love stand up and feel we’re living similar lifestyles. Bout to be interviewed for a talent team. Let’s see what happens….
Drive is way more important than talent. There are comics with way less talent than you but who will go way further than you bc they have more drive. If you can’t manufacture that drive for yourself, then you should quit.
@@dannydreadnought-xk4qxno one was asking funny questions dumbass. Ari gave an insight, practical talk on the craft. But thanks for proving there’s at least one man that will never be funnier than a woman
@@dannydreadnought-xk4qx but THIS is YOIR great comeback?? 😂 Look, all I’m saying is Ari very generously gave an insightful and practical talk to aspiring comics. It would have been so cool to hear if there were at tips, from his vantage point, for women. I don’t know what your problem is. Do I owe you money??
Did my first open mic stand up last night. It took me 20 years to gather the balls, stories & they drive to finally do it. I'm 40 😂 but I moved from LA to south Florida. Any advice on how to start here in south Florida? Idk if there's even a scene here, for comedy. Lmk please if anyone knows....thanks and good luck to you all ❤
The other day I went to toss a piece of trash away in front of my daughter. I did a pretend fade away shot and yelled out a “Kobi” as I did so. The piece of trash flew through the air, landed in a hot candle my wife obsessively keeps burning on the kitchen island. Instant splatter of wax and the trash goes up in flames. My sweet innocent daughter of 11 years old smiles at me and says, “It’s ok Dad. We all crash and burn sometime.” She then walks away without a sound. What else could you say? Yep. Definitely raised her right.
Everyone thinks they're funny. I thought I was hilarious, I still think I was and am. But after 1 year of standup I'm starting to realise how shit I am and it's all different than making your friends laugh. Get up and try already
How can you support a guy who PURPOSELY drugged his "best friends" drink while they were at his "best friends" house with his children and wife there? Serious question.

Went to my first open mic last night. Working from home right now and just absorbing this. I love Ari for doing this.
How’d you do?
I’m thinking of making a return to the stage after taking 5 years off for no reason.

People say I’m good, someone even said I have a gift. Yet I’m so hard on myself and tell myself to quit.

very helpful, thanks for putting this up
Is that Lee Syatt asking questions??
Very helpful! I’m disappointed more women didn’t show up. I’m curious if they would’ve had different questions.
They'd have had less funny questions.

Sit down Danny, the grown ups are talking
See? Case in point.

that analogy about the candles was extra appropriate after having seen the Jew special

I wonder if any comics in that room went on to make over $30k in comedy in a year.
Dean Del Ray was very cool to hear here
I just saw the joe rogan episode talking about this
Which episode?
10/10 video
3:35:00 calling out Chris Rock for not being funny for 10 years caught me off guard haha
The irony of Ari saying this
saw him live this year, so fkin bad... he speaks the truth
Selective Outrage is his best since the '90s@@VuxCollects
@@simplenough The only reason you like that shit is cuz you are mad at Will Smith (rightfully so), but get real....the special is mid...
Tamborine was mid. Selective Outrage was way better.@@misevibre
Good info.

I bet his hot comic girlfriend who got shows easily was Natasha Liggero
If you are going to comedy school, you are not a comic. Btw Ari is the best

Your daughter sounds like a hack
the norm statement about 90% of amateur comics being mentally ill comes to mind
Nah
One day I will grow a set and just get up there. I’m a pus…But damn I’m funny.
do it! just try once away from the are you live! I'm just getting back into it tonight! check out john roys free comedy course
My mom says I’m funny too.
Have you gone up yet?😄

Ari is real.
So cool.
My life.
My time.
I pay. U whiteness.
Let’s go.
This sounds worse
It's the sickie that's driving me nuts. The coughing and sneezing, Jesus Christ. That audio is loud and clear.
With the internet and sjws it almost feels like there are more gatekeepers but I get what he meant
How can you support a guy who PURPOSELY drugged his "best friends" drink while they were at his "best friends" house with his children and wife there? Serious question.
Easy.
Serious response.
Cause they're still friends so get over it
Sounds like a good time
If your getting advice from ARI on how to be funny? Your comedy career is hopeless.. your definitely getting it from the wrong guy
Don't see many others trying to help people, answer their questions, etc. He doesn't have to be nice like this, and many aren't.
Worse audio
