What a great video and fabulous show!! I love interwar English cars, so cool, nice to see the TR5!! I will say it's always interesting to see American cars in the UK, I grew up with them and it's fun to see you discover them. We had that same Studabaker when I was a kid, 1963, built like a tank!!

01:49:34 - Whilst you were (quite rightly) drooling over the Alvis woody there was in the background what appears to be a Range Rover pickup. Not many of those about.

We had a metallic purple 1957 Chrysler Saratoga, with the huge fins, and The Chrysler at about 5:30 reminded me of a funny old memory. I was at a babysitters house in about 1967, I was about 6. When my mom came to pick me up, one of the other kids ran out and screamed Kelly, your mom's here and she's driving the BATMOBILE.

I had a 1962 Studebaker cruiser when I was in college in the mid 80s. The cruiser was the fanciest Studebaker you could get at the time kind of the flagship it had a 289 which was the largest displacement v8 and I think it put about 225 horsepower out with the four barrel and dual exhausts that the cruiser had. It was the most luxurious Studebaker I ever had. Quiet on the road. But the lark styling was a little bit out there. That said, I've owned about 12 larks. Lol
By the way, Studebaker was the first importer of Mercedes into the US. Interesting little fact.

@@richardsealey3626 true, and it's interesting that they had a little fight over the tri-star emblem in 1953. I owned an early 1953 commander starliner hardtop with Tri star emblems.

Your encyclopedic knowledge continues to astound me! My favourite was that very smart pale green Frogeye. You asked about Allegro ownership experiences - I had three. Typical shoddy BL, but I couldn't afford anything better. Reliable enough, agricultural sounding engine/transmission, Hydrogas suspension constantly sagged longitudinally or laterally and needing re-pressurising. My first one was the early model with the square steering wheel and the best of the three.

My only real memory of Allegros is the appalling nylon covered seating in an estate version belonging to a mate's mum in the late 1970s

We had a Carrera 2, (Fuhrmann Four-Cam) 356C coupe, from new in 1964. Togo Brown with black leather, and a steel sunroof. My father always took it back to the factory for servicing. I still have it, but is has not been on the road for a long time.............

4.42, that's a Chevy S 10 pick up, its rare to see with the stepside bed, it might be the extreme version, most later S10's were 4 door cabs with a fleetside bed

Good afternoon Richard. Far too many to pick a favourite but there were some very expensive cars . Definitely a show for the connisieur . But that Bentley saloon at 20 minute was superb . And l did like the modern wheels on that Shadow 1 . That DB4 had to be a very late car as it had the DB5 rear lamps. I'm sure l've told you before that Rover bought a Citroen DS , took it back to the factory and stripped it back to it's bare bones . Thanks Richard.

The 57 Chrysler New Yorker is mine, you can see a video of it on my channel. The car was one family owned from 1957 to 1990 then one UK owner from 1990 til a few months the ago when I took it in px against a 1961 Chrysler Newport Conv.

Interesting video as usual. Cars we would never see here. You would have to dress warmly to drive the T Ford speedster . Tourings and roadsters were drafty even with side curtains installed. I believe thety did make some left hand drive Ts at Trafford Park early on until they designed the left hand generator bracket . The generator being on the right hand side got in the way of the steering column. Trafford Park changed that fairly quickly. It then became belt driven instead of gear driven off the cam gear.

There must be a defect in my motoring DNA, the only Porsches I like are the 944 and the 928, but the 911 etc do absolutely nothing for me. I wonder if the black Corniche spotted in the background belongs to Gary Mavers from Classic Obsession. Good upload although I watched in 3 sections. The SEC are lovely cars. Word of the day must have been "Groovy" 😊
