Always nice to save the customers a few bucks especially knowing it took them some time to come up with the money for repairs. Honesty pays off in the long run Curtis 👍🏼
Even if you don’t know anything about HVAC, there’s something inherently rewarding about seeing a complex system get a proper diagnosis and repair to a fully functioning state, especially when ppl are so dependent on cooling and heating..thanks for all you do..!
Wow, unbelievable when a company tries to sell something the customer doesn't need. Good catch. I'm sure the resident apreciates your honesty, I do. Honesty is the best advertisement, I always say.
Nice one Curtis, a good honest job, you had a nice sunny day for work over there, it's been overcast and cool here, its now approaching our winter, the leaves are now falling ☹
Well Curtis it was mesmerizing to watch you pull all of those wires apart then reconnect everything screamingly with a second thought. The next thing you know they are all organized nice and neatly. You fire it up and it all runs without releasing any smoke. I have been watching you for some time now and I don't think you have put pen to paper yet! It is very entertaining to watch a guy that really knows what he is doing! ThanX!
Nice work Curtis, it’s enjoyable to watch a tech do a complete job without cutting corners. Remember when blower motors lasted a long time? I have the original direct drive Emerson 1/3 hp in my 39 yr old Heil 80% furnace. Typically during cooling season it runs 24 hrs on manual fan. It has oil tubes, and as I proved with correct lubrication it’s going to outlast the furnace. I will be replacing the furnace this summer. I almost hate to do it too, I don’t expect near the life from the new 80% Trane that’s setting in the carton right now.
Curtis, this reminds me of situation that I would cringe about what would happen if it came true. Just imagine that the furnace and A/C being down for a month or so, due to a tech condemning it for replacement/not worth fixing. The homeowner calls, sets up a service call, and a tech comes out to check on it, finds a couple small things that are wrong, then decides to fix it. After some time on the job, the big elephant in the room comes out, vitals are bad, and instead of condemning the unit; it has to go through the full list of check ups and repairs. I could only imagine the gut punch of feeling of what it would be like trying to polish a turd....and already having time and money spent on a broken down system. I know a couple of techs on RUclips who went through this.
My hat is off to you young guys, going into petri dish houses like you do with the threat of covid so prevalent. All I can say is get all your shots, stay hydrated and jam vitamin C by the handfuls. Good luck!
If you are planning any trips to Lancaster, CA please let me know. I have a unit that is not keeping up with cooling. I’m terrified to call for service, because I know they will tell me an absurd amount of money for a complete unit. I wish all the techs had your ethics. Keep up the outstanding work! 😎
Slight rule of thumb on water spicket. Look for wayer meter. Most times it at the point the water lines meets the house. Or just outside a kitchen or bathroom.
Good work brother, have you tried a wire wheel(harbor freight has a 6 piece for like 7.99)on your drill for those rusty shafts? Saves you some time and energy AND $and paper👍👍👍
What do ya'll think about those fancy Milwaukee copper crimping tools? It'd be a real star for installs, and tricky joints like the one you just worked on. I'v used one, and it seems to do a really good job. I'm a big fan of classic oxy/acetylene, and could easily braze a suction stub like that. But man, that crimping tool would make those joints too easy.
Question. How much can I fudge on that HP and those amps? Problem is not enough air going through vents. Evaporator coil is clean and so is the condenser coils.
I think it’s Bad enough Not to have AC in your Vehicle for many years but I Can’t imagine Not having AC in your Residence for over a month. Humidity Sucks. 🤪👎
one thing i’ve seen you call this three phase and other videos too what do you mean? Are there units with three phase motors because the wires would have to be set up way differently right?
What was it that caused you to diagnose a defective blower motor? When you tested the old capacitor, it was out of range. A 20mfd cap +\- 5% is out of range at less than 19mfd. The capacitor read 18.38...that's bad. Was the fact that spinning the cage didn't start the motor indicate a bad motor? Obviously, I'm not an HVAC tech, just curious.
Different strokes for different folks. She is a pig. Also black walls and ceiling, pink trim and brown doors. A dungeon would look better. You did great work there as usual. When I worked as sales rep I kept a daily log and took notes of what I did, that way you don't have to worry about remembering if you go back. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the video.
After watching many of your videos it occurred to me to share a tiny piece of info I learned years ago as a young electrician. When you use a pair of side cutters and cut a Ty-wrap you should turn them 90 from the Ty because as you cut it, it rounds over the corners and doesn't leave those little razor blade ecges that will cut you when you least expect it in the future. A little pull pressure as you cut helps too. Love the vids!
You should probably write down notes on your estimates if you're finding yourself in a situation where you don't remember why you even recommended something
Videos awesome.. but did you ever try to get back to the people who helped you get where you are.. I think if you did one free job a month for an old couple or someone who came across hard times.. I think you would triple your subscribers.. I watch these videos on RUclips of this young man who goes around cutting people's grass who can't afford it or I'm going to hard times.. he always gets over a million views.. and forget about how many subscribers.. I don't think Steve will do it but I think you have the heart to do it...👍.. I would love to see you do that..
If all other tradespeople had the decency and ethics you have the world would be a little bit better. Good job as always
Always nice to save the customers a few bucks especially knowing it took them some time to come up with the money for repairs. Honesty pays off in the long run Curtis 👍🏼
I wish all HVAC people would have the ethics that you have Curtis, well done sir 👌
Love when customers have an issue that is an emergency and you find out it’s been going on for a while. Gotta love it.
Good job Curtis! Give'em what they need, nothing more.

Great job Curtis. Sometimes you have to give people breaks in life to get more out of life, if that makes sense.
Prices are getting outta control 😢😮😅
Thanks again for the videos !🍺🍺🍺🥃🥃🇺🇲
You are a true gentleman Curtis!!
Excellent work curtis
Nice work Curtis
Your honesty will always allow you to sleep better with a clear conscience Curtis .👍👍🇨🇦
Nice one Curtis, a good honest job, you had a nice sunny day for work over there, it's been overcast and cool here, its now approaching our winter, the leaves are now falling ☹
Good job ... Straight up

Your the man Curtis, nice job.
Oh I thought the red door trim. Was familiar!!
Excellent job saving those people a bunch of money bet they won't forget you. FREE Advertising from them when they talk to there neighbors.
Shoot must days I can't remember what I had for breakfast LOL
Good fix, Curtis. Get yourself a pack of gaskets for the hose.

@@two38382 I am actually looking forward to the job. I’m confident the Trane will provide years of service.
Red trim is very cool. 🥶🥶
Curtis nice video😊. Keep up the good & honest work.
I subscribed because of your work ethics
You might want to rinse the blower wheel before installing the motor.
That was the plan. I just forgot
🙌
Sorry I don't understand why the wires aren't the same gauge . That will cause more amp draw causing them to heat up . 28:43
I remember the black walls and red trim, I'm surprised you did not....

Oww the death buzz good work Curtis 😊

Circuit breaker box makes a nice wall decoration in the middle of the kitchen
Got to love those psc motors!
Nice job; hopefully another happy customer gets you more referrals. Have you done a tour video of your van?

Great Idea. Let the Wire Wheel do the Work, Not Elbow Grease with Sandpaper. 👍
What about those battery terminal cleaners? The wire ones with a cap..although, Maybe that wouldn’t be deep enough..drill w brush probably best..
Washing the blower wheel with the new motor already installed could allow water to ruin the new motor! Never done that; never will.--
Bad start winding on the blower motor.

Time will tell how many of the press fittings leak. I say they will
Are those Hilmor hoses? I have some that are new, but you have to tighten them super tight or they leak.
Yes
Love that work table. Link to where you got it?
i remember this call... month ago.. the defrost board was cooky .. prob shouldve changed it
C-Mon got get those tools up to snuff new batteries, O rings
That sound kind of makes you cringe when you hear it. 😄😎👍
Question. How much can I fudge on that HP and those amps? Problem is not enough air going through vents. Evaporator coil is clean and so is the condenser coils.
Hey Curtis, whatever happened to your little magnetic tray?
Probably left it stuck on some furnace or condenser lol. It happens allot to me 😅
I think it’s Bad enough Not to have AC in your Vehicle for many years but I Can’t imagine Not having AC in your Residence for over a month. Humidity Sucks. 🤪👎
one thing i’ve seen you call this three phase and other videos too what do you mean? Are there units with three phase motors because the wires would have to be set up way differently right?
I like my Head light
Can you ask the color they used on the trim. I’m about to paint my house and was thinking it would be fabulous 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Home owners association may get you
That's why the motor failed..lol
Georgia Bulldog Black & Red!
Good fix. Did you find out why you has - S/C?
I think this is the one where I had my probes on the wrong lines
👍👍👍

At least they keep their front yard up. Can't say much for the 'tweaker' housekeeping inside and...what's up with that hideous paint scheme??😳🤣

If it was supposed to be a 20 +-5% then 18 is way out of that range isn’t it?
No
Not low enough to stop blower from spinnin up
Back to school and study percentages!
18÷20=.90= 10% out. New motor gets a new cap so good to go. A solid recommendation on a PM..
be bad if you did all that then oops its empty of refrigerant lol. Happen to me once and now never again!
😊
What is the model number of you drill. Thanks
Three phase line voltage and a permanent split capacitor blower motor??😮
👍👍😊😊

Lightning ???
A leaky rheem Whoda thunk
The walls are black and the trim is orange?????? No wonder it's so dark in there. All ready for Halloween.
Another no coolin call.
