I wish I could've told my mother when I was that age. I was depressed most of my life because of it. I've been on hrt (hormone replacement therapy) going on 6 months now. If you allow your child to be who they feel they are now it will save them a lot of strife. Thank you for at least being accepting and loving to your child. My mother and I are very close. I'm close to my father as well. My mother earlier in my life wouldn't have understood but is in a different place now. Do research and then talk about it again. There are transgender people who don't take hormones but still identify as male or female or non binary. There is a such thing called gender dysphoria and another one called dismorphia. May have spelled the second one wrong. If your child really feels the way they feel, hormones will save them from the full effects of puberty like facial hair or mature masculine features. Waiting until they are out of your house meaning they are an adult might take more work to look how they want. If she starts young she might not have to have a bunch of surgeries like facial feminization or breast implants. She might not choose to have any surgeries. At least she will go to school feeling like who she really is. If you exist now you always have and always will. The power that creates worlds is inside of us and is expanding and becoming more because of it. We are living on the leading age of creation. God is not judging your child. Just tell her to follow her inner being and you do the same. You know you are following it because you feel good. When you feel bad you are not in alignment with your inner being. People will argue that there are masculine and feminine spirits but it's false. We are neither and both. A lot of transexuals prostitute when they are not excepted at home. Mainly to pay for operations and to survive. Thank you for accepting your child. Nothing is wrong with your child. I waited all these years until I turned 33 just to make my mother happy but I wasn't. It starts from within but I didn't know then what I know now. My mom deep down inside just like Maddie mom probably really wish we stayed the way we were born but it's no different from anything cosmetic including braces, make-up, any enhancement surgeries, or even adorning yourself with jewelry. We all want to feel good. Oh and hormones will save your child from becoming a horny teen. Talk to a doctor about it. The doctors are the ones along with a psychologist who can better assist you. Before you are allowed to start hrt you have to talk to a counselor/psychiatrist. Even if it's a nurse practitioner they will lead you in the right direction. You are who you are. Even when your child gets older if they truly feel that way will still transition. Keep your child close so you can monitor what goes on earlier. You will save her from the streets. If she has to do it alone she'll become strong but will go through a lot. Some people wait until they are 50 and above to transition because they're scared of what others will think. Your child is special and is going to be somebody.
Non of my business and probably something you're not ready to talk with your child about but sex. When you are ready teach them to always use protection even if it feels better without will save them from diseases that their partner may not know they have. Also if you child is a bottom they will need to purchase one of those hot water bottles that you can hang up fill it up with luke warm water and like a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and flush their body before having sex even if it's when they're married. My gay uncle taught me how to clean myself before having sex. It's not something to do all the time but it's good to know. Most people use fleet but I only use that when I just want to feel a lil clean but not for sex. I like to use a hot water bottle and they have other things you can use like attachments for the shower instead of a water bottle. Water bottles is old school and my number one.
