My grandpa has dementia but luckily he’s not at the stage yet that he doesn’t remember us but I know that day is coming soon and it just makes me so sad to think that he won’t remember us, or all the fun times we had. What I’m trying to say is thank you Cory for addressing this seriously, we need more people like you. Much love.

The Chrysalis one: Actually everything she did was accurate. I can't tell you how many weird things I witnessed during my 13 years of being a CNA. Even the knife parts, I've had MANY over the years turn violent at night time due to sun downers. Dementia peaks at night.

Dementia is the most scariest thing in the whole world to me. I saw a quote from somebody with dementia and it made me cry. It's "I know I wont remember you, but will you still remember me?" It is one of the most shocking things I have ever heard.

So for the chrysalis story, it’s my understanding that the newly discovered bug species is actually what is making his mom go crazy. It’s parasitic and needs a new host because the mom is getting old and weak, so the bug controlled her to get a new host.

In the chrysalis, there are pictures of insects everywhere. Also when she said to Rick, she was saying "come out there, time to molt, time to get into your cocoon dear" are basically references to how insects grow (the caterpillar either dies in its chrysalis or molts). At the end, the mother turns into a ugly ah bug...
This statement is very much like my *paper body* statement but with insects.
Speaking as someone who has memory problems and constantly is forgetting things more and more and wondering how many years until I can't figure anything out anymore,

I know what happened to the mother in the 2nd film. When she found the new “bug,” she didn’t know that it was actually a parasite. The parasite bit her and she started to loose her memory overtime. Then, it eventually took over her or something and she went mad and turned into a bug. Edit: thanks for the likes :D its the most i have ever gotten i am very grateful.
