However, taking NWH into account, and the thought that Cruise's IM might be a villain, puts the whole thing in a different light. If anyone could pull off a villainous Stark, and still put that sheen of comic insouciance on the character (if that's the direction they decide to take), it'd definitely be Cruise.

RDJ perfectly portrays Stark as a flawed but ultimately good person. A hot shot like Cruise might actually be a good choice to portray a Stark that is quite the opposite of that.
i know we all miss the real iron man. but because tom cruise's iron man is from another universe it would make sense because he is not the same tony stark. the same logic worked with spiderman. so I like that this is happening and i cant wait to watch it. especially the fact that Tobey Maguire is rumored in the movie and it makes it more exiting. and i cant wait to see superior iron in the real life version for the first time.
