Ohh wow Mike....I had no idea. I do remember seeing you on a cane at disney, but thought it was part of ya Dapper Dan costume😁 How did you find out you had cancer? I always wonder how this comes about with people diagnosed, because they reckon alot of folks are walking around with it and dont have a clue until "something" specific comes about. Both my parents had cancer and did chemo, so I understand chemo brain for sure. You sure seem to have a great attitude, and that's a HUGE part of ya battle already won right there! Cant wait to see more vlogs from you, I truly think its a courageous, brave and wonderful thing you're doing. 🤗xx❤
Thank you Chloe's mum. I had a strange feeling before it happened. I know something was wrong but everyone kept saying it was because I was overweight. They were wrong. I will give more details in my second vlog🤪. Are your parents still with us? Thank you so much.
@@mgarcia9273 Mike, I was just wondering if ya knew something was up. After talking to alot of folks who did chemo with my Mom for years, I think most felt the same way. Something wasnt right, just couldnt put their finger on it. I did lose both my parents...they were age 63 and 68. Mom had CLL...chronic lymphocytic leukemia (no cure) Dad had lymphoma in his esophagus. His had a very high cure rate, but he got shingles (d/t low immune system) and it went to his spine, paralyzing him literally overnight. Unfortunately, he gave up the will to live d/t that alone. My Mom fought like a damn storm trooper...tough as nails she was!!! Ok, Ill quit rambling on🤣😂 again, I think its flippin AMAZING what youre doing!!! ...... LET YA LIGHT SHINE MIKE!!! ❤ we are here to listen, laugh, cry or whatever right along with YOU!!!
Mike loved this. So nice to put a face with the name. You Sir are courageous.It takes a very strong person to keep a smile with the hurdles that you have in your life. I’m sure as a man it’s got to be tough losing your independence and at times frustrating. I myself can relate I have some medical issues and depression seems to go hand in hand . You appear to have a supportive family and a strong wife that will whip you into shape if need be. This is a great way to document your journey and look forward to seeing future videos. Keep strong,keep your head up and most important continue to do you and enjoy. @@chloesmum1884 my condolences for your loss. One of the medications I have to take is called valacylovir. It is to prevent shingles from happening.

Yes I am in Houston. I was trapped in MD Anderson for my stem cell transplant during hurricane Harvey.
