Great video with cool examples! Moreover, the idea of how to make those licks easier to play and more melodic is applicable to plenty of other stuff and licks and works well.
I get caught up in learning new ways to play licks just like everyone else . But I think composition might make an interesting video, how to create that neoclassical tonal palate , or lydian mixolydian etc.
Can you please indicate pick direction for each note? The arpeggios for example could be done yngwie style with his outside alternate picking(yngwie says he doesnt sweep likely as the tone is more legato), or, sweep picking. Or, both. I use sweeps to speed stuff up, alternate picking as it helps memorize sequences better than sweeps. Alternate picking can be inside by reversing the pick direction, ie ascending scales start with upstroke, descending with downstroke, although i use downpick for ascending and up for descending as pick attack is more in alternate outside picking. Giving more time for the fretting hand is related to pick width. If a player cant keep up, use a thinner pick. I used a 1.5 mm pick for two decades. Now, i use a 0.88 or 1 mm as the delay helps and, the tone is better, easier to detect picking errors. Also, film your picking hand, it helps to see how you are picking and holding the pick.
I’m not sure I understand what you are asking for. Do you mean the tone coming out of the amplifier or do you mean the scale that I’m using (harmonic minor) or are you referring you something else? If you can clarify what you are looking for, I’ll try to help :)
@@tomhessmusiccorp likely picking direction(upstroke vs down), not listed on the tab, pick width, and how you are holding the pick. Those three things affect sound greatly.
1. The pick thickness is 1.26 mm. 2. I hold the pick this way: ruclips.net/video/OgGP0x5XQ6A/видео.htmlsi=1WyNhmT3MwS-mZMi 3. The picking motions (down or upstrokes) have zero effect on the tone. Here is why: tomhess.net/The-Best-Guitar-Picking-Technique

This is absolutely.... perfect !!!!!.....
I like how the examples you play sound, especially the last one with arpeggios
Glad you like them! :)
This is excellent
Very cool video!
Glad you liked it, Jace! :)
Great video baroque/neoclassical is my kind of thing, i just love it, i need as many lessons on that as you can make 😂 Thanks

very good! melodic! 👍👍👍👍
I haven't seen a video that you've made , that wasn't helpful. Thanks . Crazy how simple little things make a huge difference.
:) Glad they helped! And yes, often the simple things make a huge difference.
Just realized I need to work on my vibrato.😯

To get to do the lick, you'd have to show how to get that particular sound first!
