+Tach Vision Yeah, I wouldn't go that far. It was a good, compelling match though. The show had definitely built up enough goodwill with me that I was totally fine with the slow build. The crowd that could be heard on the live feed was mostly fine too, they generally helped the matches. I thought Asuka vs Ember Moon was of a similar quality to Roode vs Nakamura, and I enjoyed both. Honestly, the only match I wasn't that in to was the Alistair Black debut, but even that had fun moments.

I think the trouble with the main event is the fact we all knew who was winning. With the tag and women's title matches, there was an air of it could go either way. But it was clear Roode wasn't losing, so it's hard to get invested in a match like that unless it happens to be exceptional.

The NXT Women's Championship in the leaked Paige video is NOT the same belt that Asuka held prior to last night. Paige's belt had the old WWE scratch logo on it, the old belt had the current WWE logo on it. They're different belts goddammit.
People are spoiled by how good NXT has been. This show was great, from start to finish. It was the weakest card they've ever had for a Takeover, but it clicked, and they smashed it out of the park. The opening 8 man was fun, and a great way to start the show with the Kassius Ohno involvement... Dillinger taking the pin is fine, thats his role, it doesn't hurt him going forward and eventually he'll get that big win over Eric Young probably. Aleister Black vs Almas was fine, it felt a little flat in places, but when they were just kicking the shit out of each other, it was good stuff. Black will only improve, and will prove to be one of the best signings they've ever made. The three way tag was obviously Match of the Night, the psychology on show was different class... the story between Revival/DIY was a joy to watch whilst also keeping the Authors looking strong benefits NXT long term. Asuka and Ember put on a really good match from the story point of view. We've seen Asuka become arrogant and cocky with each defense, and to see her on the back foot, and really struggling to dominate put Ember over HUGE. The finish was great too, solidifying her turn and how she's only interested in winning and keeping the belt. Interesting going forward, Ember will take it in Brooklyn. I dont get the hate for the main event either... both men delivered good performances, especially in a different style for Nakamura. The story work was good when working the knee... Rodeo's desperation after Nakamura kicked out of the Glorious DDT was great, which led him to having to use the tornado version.. really, really good stuff and it paves the way for Nakamura to go to (hopefully) Smackdown on Tuesday night.
Adam, you should do a "How WWE Should Have Booked" for Babyface Roman Reigns. Now the damage is done and he needs a heel turn, but how would you have booked him as a babyface starting with the dissolution of the Shield? Can you get him over?

The crowd at the end of the Black/Almas match totally killed that finish. The random chanting that has nothing to do with the match is annoying and old, and needs to stop. Fucking hate wrestling fans sometimes.
Ember Moon would be a great champion, but a face has to work for it. There's a long rivalry ahead before she should be able to raise that belt, especially against someone as over as Asuka.
The Revival has impeccable timing and quickness in the ring. They're always having exciting matches. Their gimmick is to have no gimmick, just perfect teamwork and heel tactics. Top guys.

Partly due to the fact they took Nakamura off the show for most of the time between Takeovers... like with Samoa Joe feud (I know he can't due English promos and you must protect him, but come on, twice in 6 months is too much). Also, it felt like a feud to just get Roode the title. The real feud is Roode/Dillinger. Ever since The Dusty Rhodes' Classic, it has been etched in stone. Like Zayn/Owen or Joe/Bálor, it's just meant to be.

The main card has a lot to live up to especially the Raw Tag titles which in no way will out shine NXT's tag title match. You know an Indy promotion is great when, after less than a year of existence, one of their former world champions is competing in the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in a few hours time (Killian Dane) and the other just got re-signed to NXT (Drew Galloway)... Gutted that Drew's amazing reign will have to come to an end but I'm also beyond elated to have him back on the largest platform possible to give us some of the best wrestling around :)
I was sitting in 216, and yeah 220 was a piece of shit section. At least 50% of the arena seemed to have completely missed the end of the match thanks to them.
The only thing that bothered me about the new belts is that the NXT championship looks too much like NXT womens championship, which I really do not like because I want every title to look different and I really liked the NXT chapionship design.
I think the main even was solid, I just think a lot of us weren't as invested in it KNOWING that Shinsuke WASN'T winning so it just kinda takes the interest out of it just a bit. I felt the same way when Shinsuke faced Finn, even though I was really hyped to see them wrestle each other.
