I was literally sat here thinking the same. Her "prank" was to say "haha my husband isn't the father so funny right" and then the FIRST thing she does when he leaves is "You're cheating aren't you??" Sounds to me like there is a REASON she is so adamantly on this topic...
@@CherryGryffonTypically, a person who engages in baseless accusations at the slightest provocation (be it their own fault usually) is guilty of the very thing they’re making the accusation about. Like that saying “every accusation is a confession.” It would not surprise me in the slightest if Mark wasn’t the father, I’d be more surprised if he was. The people who usually make cheating accusations are either insecure from a previous relationship where they were the victim, or they are the cheater and they’re projecting
This kind of situation is: 1. Why people hate social media "pranks" 2. Why the big full time prank channels have been staging their pranks and reactions
Yesterday I watched a prank 'giving useless advice to strangers' it was such a harmless prank that it not only made me burst in laughter but also the people who got pranked. It was so wholesome!
That "prank" RUclipsr who got shot because he kept getting in the guy's face, acting threateningly, and wouldn't stop harassing him is a thing of beauty.
I know people like Sarah and they hide jealousy and pettiness until one day their true selves are revealed. It takes having a good feel for people to tell someone is being fake. Unfortunately I have known several people who innocently believe what they are fed and then get blindsided by being betrayed by someone they thought really cared for them.
This is what I was thinking too. Sarah let her “Influencer” BS go to her head and went off the deep end - and burned down everything good she had going in her life.
Yeah, I really didn't like how OP initially handled that. Who cares if people will notice you leaving? Sarah already publicly humiliated both of them. The only thing you can do at that point is to leave the situation. At least they finally did leave.
I am a woman and if I had a friend like Sarah who did something similar to me, I would have exploded in rage. People have compared my anger to that of a volcano... and I've got to say that I agree with them. I am like Mount Vesuvius in human form, okay? No way would I have tolerated what Sarah did and I would have stood up for my husband. Then I would have left with my husband. There wouldn't have been any playing games or eating more food or watching this bitch open up presents, I would have left. Sarah has been allowed to get away with this shit for years because OP is a pushover. Nice to see that she's no longer a pushover, though. There's only so much you can take before they snap, and OP took longer than I would have to realise that Sarah was never a friend.
Literally. What is she begged him to stay for?????? Mark is married, she is his wife, both of them get humiliated as one set. The fact that they stay long enough for them to listen to their 'divorce' is wild. OP is foul at that.
@@jaymel4691it’s because OP is a doormat. Notice how she mentioned she “didn’t like confrontation.” People with no boundaries end up hurting their loved ones because they want to “keep the peace.” Hopefully this is a learning experience for OP and she can apologize to her husband for caring more about a narcissist’s feelings than her husband’s.
Someone who does not understand the severity and sensitivity of cheating accusations and infertility remarks has no right to be married, much less a mother.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I don’t think the reaction of OP, her husband or Mark was unjustified. There are some things that you don’t make fun of, especially in this context. Also: red flag posting photos of this on social media
Stress during pregnancy does not give you the excuse to be an a**hole. If Sarah was stressed, she needed to speak with her husband about healthy ways to relieve it. Pranks where there is a victim or victims that don't laugh ate not the way. Sarah got what deserved in the end, alone with mom and dad, where she can't really hurt anyone. Hopefully Mark has more influence on the baby girl and she doesn't end up crazy like her mother.
OP keep saying she changed, but i feel like this is what the "friend" true self is. One of the reason is because her husband reaction seem to indicate this is not a one off, but the last straw.
Based on OP's description of her anger issues in the past, this isn't anything new. OP just didn't have a problem with it until she was on the receiving end of that anger
Sounds like she was always selfish and unhinged and the baby shower just made it obvious to everyone. I hope mark eventually gets more custody tho, she doesn't sound safe nor sane enough to be around a child.
In my experience, somebody who does this kind of thing never was your friend in the first place. The fact that she calls OP ugly several times in the same email makes it very clear to me that Sarah thinks this about herself because why mention it several times instead of just once?
It seems that “You’re just jealous” is yet another one of those stock phrases that are used by selfish and entitled people to justify their bad behaviour. It’s right up there with “I can’t help it”, “I had no choice”, and the worst one of all “I’m too old to change!”
Growing up, I have found that the best quality someone may have is to be able to say "sorry, I was wrong, please forgive me I will strive to do better in the future" when they fuck up. It's insane to me the amount of people who let their whole life spiral out of control after one mistake they made when they could just have apologized and try to make amends. What kind of idiot would prefer to lose her husband and all of her friends instead of just admitting that they were wrong and trying to make things right?
It sounds like escalating narcissism to me. Sarah doesn't seem to be able to grasp that she's the problem in all of this and that, in a way, she just threw out to Mark that she's either immature or flat out unfaithful (luckiky it seems to only be the first of the two)😊
I saw a similar story where the bestfriend says to her husband she cheated and she tought they wouldn't divorce cause he loved her too much thankfully they didn't divorce but they cut her off
I'm flabbergasted that OP didn't immediately leave because she was worried about her friend's feelings. Throughout the whole story she just talks about her friend's feelings "but my husband needed me." JFC.
I don't think doing that prank, would ever be okay, considering that her friend and husband were struggling to conceive. Sure being informed could have softened the blow at the shower, but being asked for permission to do such a prank, would equally be a slap to the face, almost like making fun of their situation.
Why on earth are Sarah's feelings more important than your husband's after she has just hurt and humiliated him so publicly? If he wanted to leave at that moment, bounce. OP sounds like a people pleaser.
Sarah can get bent and deal with her own mess, OP should be focusing on her husband. I wonder if he's disliked Sarah all along but has been putting up with her crap just for his wife's sake. OP needs to wake up and prioritize her husband and marriage over her selfish, toxic "friend".
If I was OP, I would have gotten up and would have left. Then I would have turned around and billed Sarah for the baby shower. My heart wouldn't have 'ached for my best friend'. She would stop being my friend the moment she pulled that stunt. Stress from the pregnancy doesn't get people to do this. Pregnancy hormones don't make people do this, either.

This is just someone's creative writing assignment.
You know that some people enjoy writing right?
@@kawaibakaneko Of course I do. I'm one of them. That's how I know.
You clearly don't spend enough time on reddit lmao, there are people who enjoy the story telling aspects
I knew Sarah was going to be a nut case the moment I heard that she wanted to work in social media.
wtf
bad joke , bad prank

So her friend was like this to other people openly in the past, but apparently it was fine with OP as long as she wasn’t on the receiving end of it. Suddenly I feel way less sympathy for OP.
I hate these vtuber ads 😢
This sounds like pregnancy psychosis
That's what I thought. Peri partum psychosis.
Watch the whole video. It has nothing to do with that.
@@ladylily yeah at the end they deny it.
Still weird
