Great updates. Howerver, AUTO ISO is still missing, when we lock the shutter speed. I need this so bad so I can use this app and my phone as the main run and gun camera when vlogging outside.
The blackmagic camera app needs an update that allows you to use the app as a viewfinder, maybe it includes all the cameras and you t o input your focal length allowing you to see what the camera would see if it was sitting there on a tripod. This would allow us to see our field of view without even pulling cameras out the bag!
Airplay exists. You can mirror the iOS screen to a TV or Mac or any device really, by running on it one of the many airplay server apps (like air server)
HI, your video helped me a lot. But I need some help. I want all my clips that I shoot using Black Magic app to go into my SSD attached to my Small Rig. I looked on the phone in iPhoto storage and in the SSD, but the clips weren't there.But they are in the Black Magic App under media. How can I move these clips into the ssd? thanks.

Love the monitoring that was really needed. I was filming an interview the other day with my wonderful PicoMic and could really have done with this. I do hope though soon they add a way to off load the footage with checksum like they do in DaVinci. I know I seem to be in the minority but I shoot using ProRes HQ and save the files to the phone which is so much easier than mucking around with SSD hanging off the USB port. Also recently I have had two Crucial drives go down, one while away filming in India. It also frees the USB port (without the use of a hub) for my Sennheiser microphone. I would add I have done quite long days shooting and never run out of space on my 1TB internal drive and I always download to two SSD's for safety when away filming. This I do if filming with my Canon but with that as I have recorded on SD cards I can backup using Hedge on my iPad which does two SSD and checksum's them.

I recorded Prores in BMC-app and then i want to recode that to a less heavy file on my phone. Capcut for example wont allow me to open a file that is not in the ordinary photo roll. Absolutely! I do it all the time haha. Go to media in the BM app, select the little film icon with a checkmark at the top. Select the clips you want to save to the photos app. Then hit the share button at the top and click save videos 👍🏼 just keep in mind the videos will now exist in both places taking up double storage.

Hey… I have been using black magic camera app on my iphone 15 pro max for 2 months. Haven’t faced any issues so far. Until recently when i was about to record a video the app crashed and since then it’s not opening (keeps on crashing) … i have restarted my phone but the app is still not opening could you please tell me a solution for this problem. One way might be to delete and reinstall the app but will that erase all the data i gave already recorded in the app. I don’t want to loose my data as it is hard work of almost 2 months. Please tell a way out

The fact that it doesnt take advatage of on device stabilization kinda kills it for me. Still great but going to wait for Apples "pro camera" app that takes advantage of all on device tech.
I hope they've fixed the crashes, too. I would love to use the app, but the interface froze most of the time. I will give it another try (iPhone 15 Pro Max).
I use the iphone 15 Pro almost every week since October shooting Social Media content for fashion brands and the app is totally reliable. Im wondering why this happens to your phone

How do I change the lens or focal length?
My app is on 28mm and I don’t know how I can change it.

Can’t get the audio monitoring to work with my AirPods 2. Anyone else having this issue? Volume is up and it shows I’m connected.
Update: I did a hard restart on my phone and now audio monitoring is working.

They got bought by a bigger company, that new company then changed it to a subscription model….BM camera app is free and better lol

Video stabilization is still not as good and the native one(camera app).
