- After losing their trackage rights along the Housatonic Railway, the Lenox, MA based Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum was given a new segment of trackage to use on a short freight spur off of the Pan Am Railway in North Adams, MA. Formerly a through route to Pittsfield, the trackage only went as far as a nearby quarry. To facilitate the scenic railway, track was relaid into the town of Adams, connecting the two communities by rail once more.
Love the conductor waving the “STOP” sign😊
My son loves trains 🚆🚂🚃🚄🚅🚇🚈🚉🚊🚝🚞🚋🛤 especially Railcars like that one he says they are highly underrated and should be restored, preserved, and put back into service on lines that don't get rail service anymore carrying both passengers and mail. He also thinks that Progress Rail, Siemens, or any other company that builds railroad equipment should build clones of RDC's and the departments of transportation should restore and rebuild lines that were abandoned and/or removed and run those Railcars on them.
