Dear god. I’m constantly amazed at the fact that pumpkins music, between Corgan and Chamberlain, doesn’t come out sounding like a mess with everything going on. Also that he manages to maintain real dynamics while still playing like he has six arms.
when I first heard jimmy, I knew he would be one of my favorites. Now, the intro to Quiet and Silverfuck at the beginning when the double snares hit; perfection. He could play with a snare and floor tom and would still sound like he has 6 arms.
Jimmy Chamberlin, I still listen to Siamese Dream today 2018 some of the best drums I have ever heard. He is better than most drummers you have heard of *cough* lars ! One of the best of all time. JC !
Mindrex don't be one of these fucking tools that mindlessly talks shit about Lars. You don't get to be the biggest metal band in history by having a shitty drummer. Maybe if some of the other metal bands focused on writing good music and not just how fast can they shred or play double bass they'd begin to even approach the success of Metallica.
@@endocry.... Metallica are not big because of Lars. They're huge because of Hetfield and his ability to shred and write great metal songs. But Lars suits their style and shouldn't be even thought of as competition to Jimmy!
@@chilly6470 a) My comment merely says Lars is not a shitty drummer, I in no way compared him to Jimmy. b) James does not shred. Dave Mustaine and then Kirk are the lead players. c) Are you fucking stalking me? Get a life.
Being the drummer for one of the most commercially successful bands of the grunge era is considered "underrated"? Maybe he doesn't have an ego that needs to be put on a pedestal.

Oh god, finally, I've been looking for an entire performance of this song played by the one and only Jimmy Chamberlin
Same here. One of the greatest drum tracks of all time.
saw it live back in 1994 after Siamese Dreams was released ......it was unbelievably amazing .
I would like an entire performance of Silverfuck too, maybe even a better drum track than that
Check on Vieuphoria from the smashing pumpkins there is an amazing version of geek usa Jimmy is a god
One of my favorite drummers ever. That fill at 3:00 always gets me.
3:16 is perhaps my favorite drum fill of all time in a pumpkins song. Nothing flash but fits like a glove for that part of the song.

Best rock drummer of the 90's. Hands down.
Jimmy is up there in the discussion but don't forget Sean Reinert, Gene Hoglan, Sean Kinney, Matt Cameron, Danny Carey, Tomas Haake, Mike Portnoy

After watching this awesome performance, ive come to the conclusion that jimmy is such an underrated intellect.
Im not really sure how underrated he is, or at least was. To my understanding, he's definitely considered one of the greats

Best flams and kick in the business the amazing jimmy c 🙏🏻
Butch Vig once said watching Jimmy play this live was the best drum performance he'd ever seen in his life!!!😉
Haaaaaa 😁
and Butch is a drummer so he can really appreciate a good drum take
Bonzo, Peart, Jimmy.....thats how it is in my book!!
So much touch. Beautiful.
His parts sound deceptively simple until you see it done for real. Incredibly smart and tasteful.
The GOAT 🐐
My fav drummer
The first person to dislike this can rot in hell.
Jimmy's playing is just so damn tasty. Plus the pulse he's got on that left foot...geez. So fucking solid.

What’s wild to me is that he can remember all of his parts. I can never do that when I play along to drumless tracks.
