Fair play to Cinch for sorting everything. Glad to hear their customer service to deal with the issue was really decent. Look forward to the next instalment 😊
Recently had the w/s on a Kona EV replaced by Auto-Winsdcreens in Poole via Hyundai dealer. Fitted and calibrated in their depot in about 90 mins. They use a centralised calibration service that operates online and then check with a short road test. Brilliant hassle free service.
Bought a 2013 Suzuki Alto base model for £5500 with 7 miles on the clock as a cheap way for wife to do round trip of less than 10 miles a day to work. Found that I would choose to go out anywhere local in that rather than our main car as it was so much fun to drive, reminiscent of the original mini. Its still going strong with another member of the family now! Bargain of the century.
Yeah, it’d be interesting to see how it would have been if I didn’t do this for a living but the people on the phone have all very really helpful and most didn’t know who i was.
Great video and well done on nearly getting there with this car. I find dealing with most companies these days they outsource so much and the customer service is never as good.
Thanks for the update. Lots of great insights, here. I'm being patient with used EV prices falling and cinch have been worth keeping an eye on. So I appreciate these videos. Indeed, I spotted that very car on their site. I look forward to the next part(s) of the saga. Hoping for an Xmas special. 😄
Fair play to you for not simply sending the car back for a refund initially. However, I get you wanted to see how Cinch dealt with all this, for the sake of your channel.
Cheers Brian, even though it’s been a faff that I would have rather not have experienced I have to say that cinch have been good. I obviously got the RUclipsr treatment but you can tell the service staff have been properly trained. Not many companies can say that these days.
Just seen this, looking at getting a corsa 2021 plate from cinch. No other spec from any other dealership. But unsure with the reviews. Would you recommend going with them or not.
Well I had a better after sales experience than most I’m sure but at the end of the day you have 14 days to return the car if you’re not happy so on that basis I guess I’d say “why not?”
I'd always like to see and test drive a car before buying it. A reason internet sales market penetration will only ever hit a certain level in my opinion. Your videos give me the impression that most people will be very happy with a car from Cinch but it is also a bit of a lottery. Good that you had some decent customer service but as you say you may have had preferential treatment.
Weird one, you can't fault the people but obviously the car shouldn't have come to me in the first place really. I'm happy that they're putting things right though.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru Clearly missed the part in the video where you purchased it... But I recently saw a 21 plate Citroen E-C4 for £9k with 8,000 miles from new. Pretty outstanding as a cheap car. Especially when I have seen Zoes at nearly that.
@@DefinitelyNotAGuru Maybe.... Suspicious. But strangely the E-C4 can't get a decent review as a second hand BEV... Personally I have no clue why. It's far better than a Corsa or Zoe. Sure it's no EV6 but then it's way cheaper.
Most problems today are all about too much technology which is often proved unreliable, don't you think? I've noticed amongst Cinch listings of cars for sale that chipped windscreens are often among imperfections they mention. Why do Cinch not replace them, before the damage may spread and become serious, possibly causing a serious accident in the future? A good, interesting, very informative video, as always!
It seems strange not to just repair or replace before sale, the same with the pain defects, a smart repairer in house could tify them up in no time and give them a stronger sale price.
You are right, people can handle a few problems, its how the supplier responds that makes it. Is there a sponsership deal on the way🤣😂🤞If I see a good deal on Cinch I must remeber to drop your name in the inquiry, great video.
Things do go wrong with PDIs and handovers, it's how well any problems are dealt with that counts. It sounds like Cinch are doing a decent job and I hope they would give that level of service to people who are not internet sensations. I look forward to seeing your review of the EV6 GT, I wouldn't mind one of those
Great video Jim, nice update! I'm glad the Mii is putting a smile on your face at last. The seats in that EV6 look lush. Yet another reason I badly want one haha! Incidentally, can the windscreen scuff not be restored out? To save the hassle of replacement. 👍🏼
Hi Jim glad it's (hopefully) being sorted was down your way yesterday( our eldest daughter has a flat in Poole dad's cabs journey) hope your loving the EV6 looking forward to your review
Perhaps it is because of their attitude to when things go wrong that they are still a thriving business where Cazoo went to the wall. The service I got from them was nothing but dismal. 11:17 I get where you are coming from there, my wife's first car was a tiny Fiat 126, and it was like driving a go-cart, it had nothing in it, not even a slot to fit a radio, but I used to always take it if going on a short journey, it was just a big laugh to drive. It always got waves and smiles as well.
I can only imagine that the expansion of Cinch should happen soon. They probably have increased business from Cazoo customers and maintaining a good level of service is paramount. Of course they could go the other way and because they have such a market share in this space they may rely on new customer influx than maintaining customers
Bought an Hyundai Ioniq has rust, dent and a lot scratches which wasn't listed. Customer service department is amazing and really helpful but unfortunately their mechanics are really bad. They took the car to fix the issues and it was with brand new scratches and damages all around the car including interior. I fully returned the car back to them and got my refund in 2 weeks. They put the car up for sale.
Your experience turned out be a positive one because you are a youtuber. Cinch are the same company as BCA, British car auction and what i would like to say about them is not printable. Thankfully i no longer do business with them.
My only problem with the remote purchase is exactly the word being remote. We don't smoke and happen to be very picky with car smells. There is nothing worse when your dream car you've been waiting for finally turns up and stinks from cigarette smoke. One of the most disgusting thing in a car and impossible to fully get rid of that smell. Of course you can return the car within the trial period and buy something else but if you do it on finance and have to return it and buy another one, its gonna be at least 2 credit search/agreement on your file, not to mention if you have to go for a third car. Too risky for me.
