Over a year ago I posted here about my father. I showed him this video and he loved it. Sad news he passed away at his job Friday afternoon. He spent 38 years working in a steel mill on the furnace melting metal. We are from New Jersey. Thank you for the music. Last 2 days I been playing this song nonstop

Almost Father's Day again! I didn't have much respect for the lessons my father was trying to teach when I was young, but almost everything good about me... Came from him! As chaotic and overwhelming as it must've been to take care of a wife and 6 kids who drove mom crazy all day, 2-3 hours of traffic to work each way in socal to barely make ends meet... Happiness must've been very illusive, but he never stopped doing it. We may not have had much, but we always ate, we always had a roof over our head and we always had our mom.... He did that!

The fact that this comes out right before Father's Day is awesome. My father walked out on my mom and 3 kids when I was 4. We were all raised by our step dad. To me he is my DAD. And for that I love him. He didn't have to take on my mom and 3 kids that weren't his. But he did, and busted his ass to make sure we were all fed, clothed, and had a roof over our heads. He taught me to hunt, fish, work hard and how to be a man.

I love the song.. I had to give the props in the big log chat... but I failed as a dad.. my son is 17 and a half,, his mom took off with him when he was 2.. I didnt see him at all till she asked me back into thier lives when he was almost 6.. he was at that point a mommas boy who knew nothing of respect and proper behavior.. for gods sake he wanted to tell me about the world and get upset when I told him he was wrong..well she cheated on me.. I left and got married again.. when he was 10 -11 he begged me to get his custody to get him away from his crazy abusive mom.. I did.. I spent thousands.. as a low income hard working blue collar .. so when he was about 12 he moved in with me..its been a huge struggle teaching him respect and to not argue with EVERYONE!! and get him on track in school.. the relationship has been a up hill battle to say the least...but I love him ... and well .. that marriage fell apart too.. and it was me and him.. starting again.. got a house.. and I work 6 days a week.. but the day after this last fathers day.. he went to live with his crazy mom again.. cause .. I didnt do enough with him..

A man is raised but as a child iwas old I was taught I a heavy hearted these days cause of the way I was raised values and morals have to be taught to our children today . I previously met 2 young fellows and they both were 2 of the most polite young boys 1 was very humble and shy..said thank you.when ever u gave him something. And raised by a single mother. The other was a little older and was very smart maybe smarter than h the s age group. My hardest lessons were taught by my father when I was mowing the yard them I knew nothing.i realized many years k when I realized finally just what it was he was doing I'm just lost for words.he just like these 2 woman I know today were instilling values intotheoiir choldren..mine was a tough love and today I. A m. Thankful but I have made some choices that have caused us not to speak as often as we should maybe I learns lip[ah there we go again,,I'll pick up where we left off thank u God there is no last laugh ,he who laughed first knew in the beginning he would have the. Last laugh. That's not of god as fR as I'm concerned its evil cause its manipulation. Everything I speak of. Myself only because I have either experienced or seen it firsthand. Dam dude I loved that song it really hit home with me .. my dad taught me how to be a mason ,how to be a man .. stay true to my wife an kids and always be there for them .. what I would give to hug him one last time and say thank you for your guidance... I never actually got to say thank you and I love you pop, before he died .. we had our own mason company an was doing ok but the he was taken from me in a motorcycle accident in 2012.. had no choice to shut things down.. hardest thing I ever had to do was go finish the job me and him started together the week before .. dam I miss him

This song means alot to me. I was a daughter of 4 to my father and he taught me alot. Then I met someone who knew nothing about how to fix things and hard work and how to work on cars. My father told him that if he was going to date his daughter, he better get a haircut and get a job. My dad hired him and gave him that hardest job there to see what kind of man he was. Well 30 years later, I still see the things that my father taught him. He is a wonderful husband and father. Thanks DEMUN JONES

Beautiful. My father is still around and kicking with all his might, I love him with all my heart. We hung sheet rock all day listening to Credence clear water Revival and Waylon Jennings. I still have the hammer he gave me when I was nine. Everyday I thank God that he took me to work on weekends and made me take nails out of old boards just to reuse them.
