Currently working on this out of the Levine book. His reharms are really weird. 🎹

Your riffs and fills are so melodic and tasteful... great playing. And thanks for the way you go through the learning/creative process with us at a nice pace enabling us to learn the voicings, get new practice ideas, and so forth.

love these lessons! I play this tune, but when I heard this I thought "This song doesn't sound nearly as good when I play it!" This video presents a whole bunch of improvements I can work into my existing arrangement. Thanks for all you share with us. And I look forward to any classical videos you care to post.

Tony, I just discovered some fabulous chord progressions that I could hear but never quite find because I can't read music. Thanks to you, I am now learning to play " I thought about you" and break out laughing each time I play one of those cool chords you showed on your tutorial. Many thanks.

Thanks for the wonderful lesson! I've been watching a lot of your videos, and have learned a lot about scales and comping from them. Would you be willing to make a video on using pentatonic scales in improvisation? I enjoyed the video you had of playing pentatonic scales over tritones in Blue Bossa, but was wondering if you could go even more in depth on the subject.

Amazing; some of these chord voicing slightly confused me though (especially when you have used a note other than the root in the bass). I often find interpreting lead sheets difficult. Do you have any tips for being able to read lead sheets with more ease?

Are you referring to when he's playing rootless chords? If yes, familiarize yourself with chord voicings, which in practice are generally rootless for the bass player is playing the root Hope that helps.

Wow I never noticed the chart is wrong. Should be a C7 and I played C7 with a 13 and some other junk.... Flat nine I think.
