I think one thing people never consider isn’t even how well f1 drivers did in their “fast cars,” but the very high minimum bar of skill you even need to operate them. The cornering and braking Gs wouldn’t be manageable by even most skilled, non-open wheel professional drivers.
Vicky is a very good racing driver. I bet that none of the sexists I read could even approach her lap time given the same exact conditions. Same goes for Sabin Schmidt. I've read countless comments about how women are not made for cars and should cook and wash your clothes, but you should be careful there are some incredibly talented woman out there that would destroy you and your mighty balls.
Are they really using a iPhone to time their lap times?? Forgive me if I'm wrong but I don't think that is the most accurate way to find out what your lap time is.....

to the random people i dont know in the peanut gallery below whom are bashing patrick ----- do you or have you ever driven in a pro racing league? if not shut up about patrick being a bad driver. second the reason a lot of women dont drive as well as men do is they just never learned car control. its not that they cant. they can. they just were busy learning how to apply makeup instead. or something else that was more importent than to them than car control. there are also plenty of bad male drivers in the world. why bash on women who can drive quite well? dont feel like losing to a girl at your next track day?

I love Lotus Cars...they have such a great character...but the business end of the company sucks and they are always on the verge of collapse...I have an Elise...and took the car down to get serviced this past week and the dealer had virtually no inventory...sad. If they had made this car street legal in the states i would have bought it...instead, bought an M6 convertible...When will Lotus look out for those pesky Customers?

I use Harry’s Lap Timer on my iPhone X and it does a great job.
Race mode slow me down about 2 seconds.
Riding with Senna would have been terrifying. His NSX laps on Suzuka look like he's power sliding at 160 MPH.
