First, the #1 priority of this "task force" should be ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE. Give those crummy Insignia $49 radios away at remotes. No where in this video was promotion mentioned. If you go to Radio Shack, Best Buy, or some other store and ask for "an HD radio" you will be herded to the SATELLITE radio area where they have the big mark-ups. The kids at these stores don't know what an HD radio is. If they happen to even display one, it's not properly connected to a high gain antenna. I bought a bunch of the Radio Shack Accurian radios for $79 (List: $199) several years ago when Radio Shack was getting out of the HD radio game and they could barely give them away. If the stores aren't educated, and there is NO TV advertising as to what exclusive content is available on HD radio, then it's another losing technology like AM stereo which was too much, too little, too late because of infighting. The IBUZ people only are interested in their licensing fees that are making a few attorneys rich. None of those fees radio stations pay goes to any mass advertising campaign. Radio stations are depended on to use THEIR ad time to promote the iBuz format. In Europe, DAB is more widespread, and a better technology. And heaven help you if you try to get the HD radio format content on a CBSInactive stream. They load your phone or computer with 20+ scripts enough to choke a horse before you hear ANY audio. Terrestrial radio could survive, but not with idiots that run things now.
I live in indy so all these stations i listen to on the daily
You can advertise for HD but can't upload in HD?
It doesn't mean "High Definition" It's just a product name

PAUL: Please have them bring back the VINYL VINEYARD

LONG LIVE ANALOG RADIO!!
Broadcast SPDIF via VHF/UHF and then come back to us. Lossy audio with high artifacts is a joke.
