Hey Barry why not do a super size guys special but with ashens but using poundland ingredients to make it Stewart worthy and interesting by cooking and tasting each ingredient as you making the super size meal. Why not a either a vegan chick'n sandwich or a pizza or a super sized mkrib (you know can't say Mc rib) and donate it or since it is a Xmas soon why not a super sized gingerbread house that fit the children (not huge put 4 walls and 2 parts for the roof)
What actually happened to the crowdfunded pizza restaurant you wanted to open? Did that fail because of the pandemic or do you still wanna get back to that idea eventually?
We love chicken base pizza in our house! We actually use ground chicken. It comes in rolls, and looks like pink toothpaste. And cheese and herbs and mix all together and you get a delicious pizza base that starts off looking, in all honesty, horrific. Also, cover with a second parchment paper to roll out nice and evenly while forming the base shape.
@@pteddie6965 No. I found it through a website, I think, but it's long forgotten. Actually, if you click through to my channel and scroll down a dozen or so videos, you'll find a very amateur video I made myself on how I make chicken crust pizza. I hope you try it. It really is seriously delicious.
I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. So I'm on a keto diet to keep my sugar under control. I feared I would have to give up pizza. Which is my weakness. LOL! Thank you for sharing this! I'll definitely be making it this weekend. 🤤
I use canned chicken and add Italian seasoning and garlic to the mixture before cooking the crust. I press it very thin. I then cook just the crust until it starts to crisp. Then I take it out and add Alfred sauce, mozzarella cheese, parmigiana, and spinach. Then cook until the cheese is melty. It’s delicious that way and has a bit more of a crunch to the crust (thin and crispy)
Tips for more crispness = 1) Preheat perforated pizza pan or pizza stone in the oven to at least 425F... 2) press (roll) it out thinner between two sheets of parchment . Bottom sheet will help transfer it onto pan. Crust won't take as long to precook (not by much, but your time may vary).. 3) Once pre-cooked, let it rest about 10 minutes before topping it and sliding it back onto the pan that you threw back into oven to reheat while waiting. Cook at 425F for about 10-12 mins or desired cheese done-ness. I use this method with all my pizzas (Cauliflower crust/chicken crust/almond flour crust, etc.)... If it's a store bought frozen pizza then I just preheat the pan in oven & cook as directed (no need to pre-bake) ... starting with the hot pan gives it a better crust on the bottom.
That is actually a rather fun sounding idea, granted it's one of them diet things for the protein power gains things, but it does actually sound really good... :D
i used to do this often when i had access to ground chicken and turkey. this way you can have a pizza that is keto-friendly and has a ton of protein per calorie. you can eat pizza all day and get shredded. it's mindblowing lol
Fascinating video, Barry. I would never have thought of using chicken as a flour substitute in a pizza base! I'd be really interested in more videos replacing flour with alternatives such as the jackfruit you mentioned.
@@CookingWithCows They use unripe jackfruit which is not sweet, but I'm not sure how many carbs are in it. It's sold in cans as a meat substitute. I've never tried it.
To add crunch to this pizza, top it with Parm crisps. Easy to make, just put little piles of grated Parmesan on parchment, bake at 165ºc/350ºF for 9-12 minutes, depending on your oven. They're crisp when they lose that oily sheen.
This sounds awesome! My little great nephew has celiac disease and is lactose Intolerant. I could make him this pizza with vegan cheese for our Christmas family get together. I always feel sorry for him because I feel like he is left out.
My brother says that the lactose free cheese is a lot nicer than vegan cheese. He grew up eating "cheese" that you could only buy in health food shops and was closer to paté than cheese - you really couldn't grate it properly - so he's tried quite a lot of different ones once the supermarkets started selling them.
The recipe I use is raw chicken mince. Then add eggs, cheese spices and roll between to sheets of parchment to get really thin. The pre bake and top with favorite pizza topping.
The canned chicken breast in the US is similar to canned tuna. It's shredded breast meat, with a bit of water, and it works gteat as a pizza base if you're doing the keto thing. you can also season it kind of like buffalo chicken, to add even more kick to the end result.
Barry, my nearest farm shop in Bradford West Yorkshire, sells something similar to a chicken pizza, but it is made from a whole chicken which has been completely boned out. Basically the butcher cuts the complete spine out of a small chicken and then he removes the thighs and the rest of the bones and skin. He then arranged the meat in a foil dish to cover as much of the bottom of the dish and spreads the still raw meat with a jar of pizza sauce. At this point the chicken has assorted ingredients ingredients placed on top, they usually make 3 different variations, a simple cheese and tomato type, a ham and pineapple with pieces of peppers scattered over and a pepperoni type. Finally they add a generous amount of shredded cheese ( a four cheese mixture of cheddar, Red Leicester, Mozzarella and Edam or whatever other cheese you prefer), cook the dish as you would a usual pizza until a skewer pushed into the thickest part of the meat does not show any discolouring in the juices that come out. Cut it into portions and serve with a simple salad or chips.
Chicken has become so expensive this year, in The Netherlands. Sainsbury's has chicken for about 6 pounds per kilo, which is about 6 euro's. Here, you easily pay almost 10 euro
Kind of bizarre, but definitely doesn't sound *bad* particularly. Definitely seems like it'd be dense. Might be good with a crispy topping of some sort, maybe some crispy prosciutto?
