- Here's a demonstration of how to make a scorpion from beads and wire. This is very similar to my beaded spider but I recommend trying to make the spider first at this is a little more advanced. Be sure to check out my other tutorials and subscribe!

First of all, where do you find the body bead? Second, I hate to be critical, but a scorpion has 8 legs and 2 claws. So you need to modify your scorpion to have two more wires...just an fyi.

Because they are arachnids, scorpions have eight legs plus two claws--ten appendages all together. You need to add two more legs to your scorpion.

Beautiful. I just got done making 2 spiders and I LOVE them. Where do you get your beads from. The stores around here are terrible as far as selection. So I'm thinking of ordering from Fire Mountain Gems.

@PunkPandora I've been giving it some thought but haven't made a prototype yet. Although interestingly enough, your not the first to ask. Is there something special about rats I don't know about? lol

Do you have a printable tutorial for the scorpion like you do for the spider?
No, sorry. College kind of took over my life and I never got back to this stuff. If someone wanted it for education or to benefit the sick/under privileged/etc I'd consider putting one together but otherwise I'm pretty busy with grad school these days.
