It should be at least 350 hp, but 380 to 400 would be best. Expectations are high, because anyone that ever had one, knows this is the greatest sports car ever made. Be smarter than Nissan, do not even make automatic, and certainly do not make your best car in automatic only.
I had an S2000 for a year, then I had to buy a truck, but Honda should have never discontinued this roadster , it would have became an Icon for Honda , evolving as the Miata, and 350Z, and the Supra have, I loved driving it, a light car with 240HP, and silky manual trans

There is plenty of aftermarket support for the s2000 so making it look newer isn't an issue but for honda, keep what people already love and simply give it a facelift, I've seen a few s2000's that have been k-swapped and hear good things about that. If this is going to be the last petrol s2000 then let it be great, think of it as an s2000 type r with all the power it needs with the handling people liked, again using what is already around is more cost effective.
