This remix is very special. I haven't listened to the original fall to fall that much. However, i know demetori's version by heart, so i unknowingly began to copy their ideas, note by note, and i didn't realize that my arrangement was a ripoff until very late in the production. It could have been yet another love letter, but the final result was way too close to theirs. I didn't like it, so i had to remove, modify and add some stuff. First thing is that saxophone. It mainly comes from White Ward, another band i often listen to. I love the mood they provide with their saxophone. Sometimes it cries too, and i'm amazed by it. It gives so much authenticity to their instrumentals that it became one of my main inspirations, for many (yet unreleased) songs. Second thing is the subtle Sonic Colors vibes in the middle of the arrangement. I've taken some melodies from Planet Wisp - Act 1 to add some content to the song, and i like the result. In the end, even if this arrangement is technically a remix of deme's song, i feel that i've put my heart into it enough. I think it's a bit more of my own style now, despite not being an OC, and i'm happy with it. Enjoy !
Jeez man this is superb, also lots of styles inside one song and variety of stuff I didnt expect could work together, love those sax layers and also Jrocky passages that make me insanely happ cuz thats just my thing, but overall man... Also piano bits and chugging, wow... Pretty synthies and textures too 😢😢 (Why am I crying?) Its beautiful ❤ -And no its not any deme ripoff, its completely unique styled track, very dynamic very colorful, very your own ❤
This is such a good remix of Fall of Fall. That main riff at 1:19 is simultaneously very reminiscent of Demetori's style and also has a flair all of your own, a bit crisper and sharper than Demetori's. The sax adds a ton of depth and it doesn't feel so much like a carbon copy of another cover as it does a very well made homage while retaining an identity of its own. Love it!
