14:50 in petrol engine, knocking increases by supercharging right sir. Accidentally, u said decrease. and in ci engine, supercharging decreases the knocking right sir?
Sir how supercharger is responsible for decreasing the knocking in SI engines? As in SI engine knocking occurs due to auto ignition, but using supercharger temp. and pressure of air is increased which I think results in auto ignition.
knocking is different in si and ci engines. in ci engines if ignition delay of fuel is more fuel gets accumulated and when this accumulated fuel reaches self ignition temperature of diesel then they burn they release energy simultaneously and large pressure increase causes vibration and noise. if we increase temperature of fuel then knocking in ci engine decreases, since supercharges increase pressure and temperature knocking decreases in ci engines. in si engines supercharging increases knocking hope u understood
@@raoashish500 it increases the knocking as the factors which tend to increaSe the pressure , temperature and density in SI engine leads to knocking , unfortunately supercharging increases all of these hence superchrging is not suitable for SI engine.

Only I want to know that supercharger increases or decreases the knocking.
