Great list. I will say that if a person doesn't have experience with the genre, that shouldn't scare them away from more complex stuff either. If you have an interest in any of these series or something considered more wild, definitely go for it and dive right in if you have the desire to. "Advanced" fantasy doesn't necessarily mean hard to understand magic, though it sometimes does. It DOES often come with a significantly larger cast of characters, which can be a hurdle. At least that has been my experience are pretty new myself reading the genre.

Pfff, urban fantasy recommendations no Dresden but couple of books no one heard of.

Because the first three books of Dresden Files are mediocre to awful. I can't recommend Dresden, which I HIGHLY enjoyed, to newcomer to fantasy expecting them to be blown away by the first book.

The first chapter is only a few minutes read. I don't think I ever had any book that made me stop reading from the first chapter.
