We did foster, but we took in two of our daughter's friends, raising them in addition to our 5 kids. One had family issues when her parents split, and the other let her husband do drugs with their son. We got the daughter before she was introduced to drugs. Both grown now. One is married with a beautiful baby girl. the other we put through college, now a nurse.

You have to do many hours of training to be a foster parent, do medical exams give references and hours and hours of interviews. Obviously that was not the case years ago. This woman's story is heartbreaking.

I've worked with kids in treatment facilities and so many of them get abused in foster homes it's sickening. By the foster parents and sometimes the other kids. Group homes too :( They are easy targets because when they tell people they think they are lying, just like people are accusing this girl.

In alot of ways I feel like we're all responsible for this type of abuse in this country. The foster care system alone is flawed and probably won't be fixed because most children look like her. There's so much wrong in this whole situation and she's not the only one.

One had family issues when her parents split, and the other let her husband do drugs with their son. We got the daughter before she was introduced to drugs. Both grown now. I've worked with kids in treatment facilities and so many of them get abused in foster homes it's sickening. By the foster parents and sometimes the other kids. Group homes too :( They are easy targets because when they tell people they think they are lying, just like people are accusing this girl.
