SUMMER PLUNKING FOR CHINOOK SALMON - SEASON OPENER

The salmon season opened back up on the Columbia for a few weeks in June. Fishing was awesome but catching wasn’t too hot. I was just plunking it with standard spin n glo set up. Then one day I decided to try the spin fish and it also worked. See you next time.

Yeah. The fellas were super cool and helped me land that fish. It tangled with other line as well but he managed to let me landed the fish first.

Interesting, I dont think I have seen the bobber before but it makes sense.

Yeah when the current is fastt, he bobber is not even needed, it can spin and stay floated

Does your buddy who gave you the lure own rivertec? Did he sell the lure design to pro troll?

I’m not sure about Rivertec, but yeah I believe he sold the design. That lure did good on the boat trolling

If it’s abending hooks that should tell you something and you need better hooks or less drag probably some owner Treble hooks

I think it was some bad hook that I had left over.

I don’t know treble hook is allowed at Bonneville dam. Is this true only on Oregon side?

Treble counts as one hook and is allowed,
If it's barbless.
Barbless hooks only on the Columbia.
Treble or single.
