Not surprising that the Juki moves pretty fast, but it is impressive considering all that hardware mounted on the head assembly. Serious servos required!
I know you prefer long-form discussion videos, but I simply don't have the time to watch them - that's why I like videos like this (although a bit of info about what the kit is, what it's replacing and why you're installing it would be helpful!). Thank you.
I've gone over most of that in my streams a few times, sorry. I know they are long, and it's not that I prefer them, but it's way easier to do a stream than to put together a concise video. A 3 hour stream takes me 3 hours to make. A 20min video takes me about 4 days to make. I just don't have the time with what I'm juggling, but I'll try to make more shorter videos about the Juki over the next few months.
This is awesome. Always a bit nerve-wracking seeing anything as big as that on a wooden pallet, but I was glad to see they were commisioning it as well. And no Charmhigh in sight. lol
I don’t have enough length to extend the line anymore, but to be honest, inline AOI is really not needed for me. My issue/rework % is tiny. Much less than 1%.
Congratulations on your new toy. It confirms the rule that as men get older, they get bigger and more expensive toys. And we poorer folks shed a tear. :-)
Congratulations and thanks for posting videos like this. I don't have time to follow your streams. That is a nice machine after looking at the product specs. Who was that person helping you?
@@UnexpectedMaker These type of expenses seem like grudges but I will say based on experience, it's worth more sometimes than a standard performance increase type expensed item. WOOP - keen to see the updates
I went from a Qihe QM61 to a Hanwha SM482+. On paper they look very similar but in practice they are in different worlds. Even though the Hanwha is a lot more expensive, the price/performance ratio is a lot better on it. I considered Juki as well but the price for a new one was out of my budget.
I was originally going to order a new SM482+ but SUBA offered me a deal on the Juki that I just couldn't walk away from. The SM482+ is a great machine, and I'm sure I would have been happy with that as well, but the RS-1R is my dream machine... and now its mine!
What's the difference compared to the neoden you had? You won only speed with it? Because i think that neoden was the good one with electric feeders, right? This would be a very nice video to understand why this machine cost 4x more i think and still worth to have it.
1. Machinbe reliability and customer service + local support 2. Machine accuracy and capabilities (01005 -> large BGA) 3. Placement speed while staying 100% accurate - every time 4. Twice as many feeder bays using real electric feeders
What a massive upgrade! I lost track of your progress this last year but thankfully this video was prompted to me by RUclips again
Yup, a huge step up. Now to see if the move pays off :)
Great work by team SUBA as that thing is a beast! Congrats again and thanks for sharing the video as it was really exciting seeing it do its thing! 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, the Suba folks are great!
Now THAT'S a bit of kit! Love it.
Yeah... you have room in your workshop for one don't you?
@@UnexpectedMaker my workshop would fit inside the Juki....
hahahahahaha
Nice machine. I hope it serves you well. You deserve a machine that meets your expectations. Take care.
Thanks Jerry! Not sure I feel like I deserve this yet... but I'm glad I have it.
Awesome upgrade to the production line. Amazing lookjng machine!! ❤
Yeah, it's sexy - fell in love with it years ago when I first saw it, and NEVER dreamed I'd ever own one!!!! Pinch me!
Wow super hypnotic !.....squeak !
Just wait - future videos will put you to sleep !
A darabszámot beállíthatnák rajta, átállás előtt. Operátor rohangál a visszaszámolásnál. Nem biztos hogy annyi le tud menni rajta...
congrats, along way from the Charmhigh
Indeed! Hoping this will be my last PnP purchase for a VERY VERY long time!
Congratulations, that looks like beast!
Thanks mate - now I just have to learn how to tame it - or it will eat me for dinner!
When your new toys need a forklift, you're no longer a kid. Congratulations my good man.
Thanks Craig ! I wasn't sure the forklift would lift it... looked very wobbly to me ;)
Not surprising that the Juki moves pretty fast, but it is impressive considering all that hardware mounted on the head assembly. Serious servos required!
Serious serious chunky servos - and that speed was about 40% slower than it's running now. Def gotta keep my hands out of this while it's going ;)

Not looked to see if mentioned in other vids, but what did this cost ?
I've not stated the price, but it was a lot. More than what I've spent in total on all manufacturing equipment to date.
This is awesome.

Mate, this wooden pallet took 4 of us to lift out of the way and lean it against the wall. Everything about this was huge!
Looks like a dream 🥰 congrats on sizing up!
Thanks mate!
That is one amazing machine 👍
Awesome machine, congratulations! Any plans for an inline AOI?

Thanks :) They were the crew from Suba Engineering - the Juki distributors here in Australia and NZ. they deliver and install it as part of the sale.
can you please do a tour of all of the device you have in more detail? :)
Very nice smt machine I like too much
Awesome toy.
the evolution of Unexpected Heavy Industry
Heavy Industry indeed... 2.2 tonnes!

Hahahah
I think this was a good investment to change over from the previous one.
Will most likely help with your headaches :D

i have alot of catching up to do. not watched your videos for around 2 years ( yes i know im sorry) and now i see this
All good - life and family are more important !
Damn Seon, you've come a long way since the terrible PnP that use to drop 50% of the parts on the floor.
Yup, a long way... I just hope it's the "right way" :)
@@UnexpectedMaker lol I remember that machine
Are you selling the neoden pnp?
Already sold - going to a new home this week!
How expensive this new Juki?
Toys for the boys. 😉
BTW I'll be down your way in September.
Oh? Awesome - where are you visiting?

How much doest this machine cost?
Do you like rs1r performance or not

@@UnexpectedMaker very nice, but how can you compete with this esp32 Chinese boards? I believe it's expensive to produce compare to them.
Have you named her/him/it yet? Added some googly eyes?
