Same for us. We take tours on occasion because it eliminates the hassle of driving and finding parking. We are almost always disappointed with the amount of time you get at each location and the location selected for the prearranged lunch. Thanks for the introduction to the civitatis site. I am exploring it now.
Yes, controlling our own time if fundamental to us. There has to be a specific reason for us to choose an organized trip. But we were surprised to discover the amount of people who prefer to be taken to places. All the best!

I bought the ticket one day before expected excursion but the bus don't brought me from the place designed in the ticket and then, the company who organized the excuesion, didn't want give me back what I paid. And the prize is not a cheap one...

Is there enough in Obidos for a whole day. I think you can get a bus from Lisbon direct taking one hour.
