  • Adirondack woodcarver Rick Butz shares tales of the Adirondack Mountains as he demonstrates how to carve a wide variety of subjects-some practical and others whimsical-plus many examples of folk art. In this episode, Rick carves a red fox, a frequent visitor to his Adirondack home. (Somehow, I missed the firs 60 - 80 Seconds of the beginning.)

In one of his books, he mentions using a modified German chip carving knife. I think the German style is mostly in reference to the handle shape shape he prefers, but he's shortened the blade length and modified the handle a little too.
