"Neh-kee" (the work "neki" in Japanese is a casual slang term for sister..."sis," basically).
The LP-style guitar is a Tokai, and the lead player's axe is a Washburn. Bassist Kanade is an FGN (Fujigen) endorser.

They have a great sound for such a new band, I believe they are all still in high school. They get a comparison to Band Maid because there is a YT short video of them playing a Maid song. I also believe they are on the same label as the Maids. Do check out their other 2 releases since this one.

Pronounced "Neki" I believe. The bass player sure loves to slap that bass! She auditioned for Love Bites, if I'm not mistaken.

Neki for me is closer to Trident + Gacharic Spin + Scandal than Band-Maid. But i love both of the bands though. Neki is the kind of band that i really want after Band-Maid, with more heavy than Scandal but with more colourful.

NEK! is an emerging Japanese band that has quickly captured the hearts of music lovers with their unique sound and energetic performances. Formed in January 2024, the band consists of four talented members: lead vocalist Hika, guitarist Natsu, bassist Kanade, and drummer Cocoro. They are very young, but major music labels are already keeping a close eye on them.

I really enjoyed this!! They had a lot of energy, they sang and played well, and conveyed their message. I love how you look at a guitar and know what it is. I’m more familiar with band instruments (2 kids, 8 years). Catch y’all tomorrow!!! 🎶 Cyd

He was in the second round of the Love Bites bassist auditions, despite being 15 at the time.

Awesome up and comers. Band name is pronounced neh-kee. The exclamation is an upside down ‘i’. Kanade, the bassist, was one of the finalist when Lovebites was looking for their new bassist before they chose Fami. I believe she’s 17, but somebody can correct me if I’m off a year. They have one EP out. You should check out Maze (mah-zeh), it’s my favorite off the EP.

Only thing in common with Band Maid is that they are a All Female Japanese band.

I am not a fan of Band-Maid, and I don´t get why they are mentioned. But this, This is fresh and interesting with cool transitions and moving all the time. It´s fun and interesting from start to finish!
