Hell yeah Martin just been a fan for so long as the little dude ya ass ha.Picked up the Cacophony tape when it was release as a tape in maybe 89 living at the coast. And it still shreds.Nicks still 1 of my best friends and such a great guy to.Rudimentary Peni 1 of the Bests!!!!Nick just has been sending me the new LP thats supposed to be out soon if it isnt yet.Much more to know about this great old band. Thanks for mentioning my mad collection that rules them all!!!!Plus which is rad is that live boot youve got has the picture of my new great big tattoo!!!!
@@TheWinston7777 That was a great 1 Martin so glad we got to check that 1 out and even meet those guys to before and after there great set in the backyard ☠️🎼👌
Impressive collection! I've been a big fan since i first discovered them in 1987. I had the Death Church album back then....for the longest time, my friends and i thought Death Church was the name of the band! 🤣
Nice collection! But, dude... I don't mean to dump on you, but I totally don't get your weird thing about RP being "two different bands"... I remember hearing Farce for the first time, after LOVING the first EP, and was totally blown away by how *completely* different it sounded - like two completely different bands. Then when Death Church came out, it was like a perfect blend of both (but heavy on Farce)... and then, I held my breath until Cacophony came out -- and IT SOUNDED AS DIFFERENT AS POSSIBLE from the other three... I simply don't get how you didn't even mention that or seem to pick up on it. Have you not even listened to those early albums, Cacophony especially? After that, and after a break of several more years, the Pope Adrian album came out and was - yet again - different. Since then, the last several EPs are all fairly similarly similar in their sound - but.. all VERY much still within the incredibly diverse range of sounds they'd developed over their previous decade+ of amazing work. It's completely astonishing to me that you would think the last few albums are the outliers. Give Cacophony another listen. Seriously.
I see how you say it's two different bands but I'm pretty sure Nick is the driving force behind all of it and He's one guy, kinda like us. 😁 🤘 And BTW ,yes he's is fucking brilliant. Probably meds slow down the manic sounding first albums. Much Respect for Nick the living legend. Nice collection bro.
absolutely love R.P and all things Nick Blinko. there is a song on the 2 sick monkeys album Into Oblivion called 'Blinko and I' that i wrote the lyrics for.
I think "Great War" is the best release since "Echoes of Anguish". All the lyrics on Great War and The Chances is poems from the soldier Wilfred Owen, who wrote down dark poetry while trying to survive in the trenches of world war one.
Nice collection. I hear what you mean about the two songs reimagined. It’s like basic riffs in a different order, maybe a little more formulated? I must say though, the guitar sound on Great War is pretty sick. I love the distortion and heavy FUZZZZZ.
I love RP just as much as anyone else but won't idolise as that is really a very stupid thing to do. I have all that they have released (minus bootlegs) but making videos to boast who has the best or most of a collection smacks of materialism/greed and is a brilliant demonstration of why Human SCUM will eventually Fuck everything up.
They play two songs over and over again?....you could say that about virtually every band, the Ramones, Motorhead, U2, Joy Division, Meat Loaf,Beethoven, Chopin..the list goes on.....but the fact is Rudi-P don't,the style is the same, but the melody...if you can use that word....is different, even on the second/third phase of the band. His collection's good though.
I love the new Peni album. It's definitely odd, as expected. Blinko, reciting as the lyrics, Wilfred Owen poems about WWI. Sounds more akin to Blinkos old singing style, compared to the almost monotone grumblings featured on No More Pain(I love that album btw!) I agree, some albums do sound like two different bands, altho thats a positive thing in my humbl opinion. I love how different each album is. Blinkos vocal style ranges from the dual falsetto/baritone combination, to high pitched, manic, yelping, to outright singing, to frenetic ravings as if speaking backwards, or in tongues. The artwork on the new album is definitely my least favorite. It looks like it was thrown together in a last minute, piecemeal fashion. My favorite album art is probably Death Church. I have a large Pope Adrian back patch on my black denim vest. Nice collection! Keep the flame of insanity burning!
@@TheWinston7777 My friend's dad threw out every single jacket of RP he could grapple along with a few really rare other 1sts.. "Satanic" - He managed to save all the vinyl though lol -because not in jackets ... Cacophony and EPs and I think the Pope too.. all OG bought in Hawaii. . . I think, may have been in LA. I got to tape em in around 1990. I think Blinko just never wants to let influence into his work. true outsiders are this way.
there's something wrong with that last 7in / it sounds like its been speeded up to sound more like R P / listen to it on the other speed its a better song
Thanks friends, if you all like RP, you'll be interested in Prosthetic Church! I'm not a punk or interested in anything Punk, Metal, or Hardcore represents. I'm just me. I've always been too Alternative and Pop RocknRoll Indie New Wave to fit into any punk or hardcore scene or community. I sometimes wear a Sid is Dead shirt with Prada shoes. How unpunk is that? Punks just seem like narcissist POSEURS that do nothing for this Artist or me.
1:54 - Me too! Well, everything official they ever released on vinyl minus "The EP's Of RP" since I already have the first 2 EP's on 7 inch. Maybe someday I'll buy it. Plus some cds.
This deserves more views. Sick collection.
Great story and nice collection!! My mom threw away all my old albums from the early days.

Detroit Michigan has a few great places for shows but I still miss F Street in Fresno. I will never forget The MENTORS in that guys backyard.

Wonder if ‘lil dude’ has any of the work John and Grant began with Albini. They talk about it in an interview in Flipside magazine
Wish they'd tour 👌

My copy of the new Rudimentary Peni was here when I got home last night.
Have you heard Thee Oh Sees, "Sacrifice" cover? The album is really good, rudi peni vibe
No. I will look it up
I like it.

Cool video.
Wow! I remember buying this record 40 years ago for 2$.
Maggits. That was a different band ;)

Wowza
That is the best compliment ever.
You should review each album bro,,at least the first few

15:15 - Yer right, it wasn't written by RP. It, and I believe the "Great War" LP, was written by Wilfred Owen.

You are right. I should show record albums in visual way and leave out my voice. I think my Amyl and the Sniffers album video will be just that.
