I don't think I've once seen any of the comics that was done in Jay Fosgitt's artstyle. The quadrapedal-bipedal artstyle. The most prominent one was Cheerilee's sister being a professional wrestler. I know it isn't as huge as the other story arcs, but this felt like something very left field for a slice of life in the early days. I love all your selections of the comics! Discord's toxic GF was crazy but it definitely would have fit into his story arc! Cosmo never gave him true friendship! I would have personally picked Reflections as my top, but you've reminded me about the love story between Radiant Hope and Sombra and their quest to restore Princess Amore. That was the first time I was hoping real hard that the show nodded to this as canon since Sombra was obliterated and unlikely to return at that time. Oh well.

I have to agree on the final entry. Aside from Nightmare Knights in all of its glory, Cosmos is easily the best of the mainline comics. Though to me, Nightmare Rarity, A Pinkie Pie Story That Pinkie Pie Kinda Sorta Remembers, Zen and the Art of Gazebo Repair, Neigh Anything, and The Root of the Problem are numbers 2 to 5 in no particular order.
My top 6 favorite mlp idw comic arcs are 6 siege of the crystal empire 5 return of chrysalis 4 nightmare rarity 3 art of the gazeebo repair 2 cosmos 1 friendship ahoy
This video was so well done. You outdid yourself doc. And I agree with the list on most positions. But to me, still Reflections rules. To have a similar upside universe set the stage for maybe even a new show. To have a Sombra-Celestia ship (witch I know is fairly popular in the fandom) and to have the first ever Evil Celestia before Daybreaker was a thing. That world had so much potential. All the mane six bad, an alicorn Trixie. I still have hopes that the creators of the show will honor some comics and turn them into animations or movies (I think they will at some point...Mlp is a grand well known series and considering G5 left some sour taste...a revival of G4 might be the way. After all I can see a large profit...and the company is after profit so it all places the pieces for more G4. But only time will tell). Again great Video Doc. You put so much work in this 👍👍
Reflections is definitely peak of the comics and could have easily made the top spot, but season 10 deserved some attention and Cosmos would have killed me if I didnt put her on top Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate everyone who acknowledges the work I put into this so much
In my view, I enjoyed better the redemption special G4 comics on this top (it includes "Reflections", "Nightmare Rarity" and "Siege of thw Chrystal Empire") cause have very shocking and reflexive moments of some characters in their stories that surely everyone who read them had strong feelings on it. 👍🏽👍🏽
The episode where Sweetie Belle sabotaged Rarity's work out of anger and Luna compared relations of Sweetie Belle and Rarity with hers and Celestia to not allow Belle repeat a fatal mistake She once did is one of my favorites in entire series. And how ironic that of all ponies it was Rarity who got a Nightmare form
Even tho there’s ideas I like, and I get what they where trying to do for season 10. I did not like it. I wasn’t the biggest fan of most of the other Kingdoms. And the Idea with the Many Harmony trees in particular is both way too much and doesn’t make any sense to actually exist in the universe. I get that they want to do a avengers endgame sorta thing, but it just isn’t working, and I’m glad it only ended up as a comic. But I respect your opinion. It’s just what I think about it

My favorite idw g5 character so far is milkyway. My favorite g4 idw comic character is cosmos
