    My first American ancestor was William Davis came from Wales. He was a Quaker. Many books have been written about the Davis family. My maiden name is Davis and my grandfather is a direct descendant of Willam Davis so that’s pretty cool lol

    English descent in America is much higher than 26 million people when you take into account the people who identify as simply “American” on the ancestry question on the census.
