I think I grew into adulthood along with Pink (I think we're the same age) so there was always something relatable with the music she would release. It's kind of surreal to think that there are people influencing and shaping who you are without even being the slightest bit aware of it.

I know the feeling of not being able to sleep because your kid is on the street messed up in something that could kill her. Just try to let her know that when she hits rock bottom, that you'll be there for her, and it doesn't matter what she's done, or how bad she thinks she's disappointed you, that you'll always love her. I've been down this road, and thank God mine has been clean for 7 years. But it was a long dark and lonely road before that. Sending you positive thoughts, and I hope things turn out as well for you and your daughter. ❤️

I am the older generation. I said no to opioid pain pills past the second day of surgery or injury. It's not that freaking hard. What they need to look into is mental health before prescribing pain medication. Problem solved.
Don't really care about the success of her subsequent songs, this remains her very best IMO. We were so blessed at the time to have the likes of her and Gwen Stefani doing great stuff. Early career of Shakira as well, and in 2002 both Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne dropped massive albums. So happy to have lived through those times of creativity.

The song can be about whatever the listener is receiving it as. I think this song has been an anthem for a lot of addicts and not in a bad way. It can be whatever it makes you feel. Songs are not linear. They are given to people to relate in whatever way touches them.

I am the older generation. I said no to opioid pain pills past the second day of surgery or injury. It's not that freaking hard. What they need to look into is mental health before prescribing pain medication. Problem solved.

Early career of Shakira as well, and in 2002 both Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne dropped massive albums. So happy to have lived through those times of creativity.
